Tight end (Harris) for the barn quit, so that he doesnt play
more than 4 games.
He can transfer anywhere and play 2 years. Harris didnt like the way he was being used, so he has left the building, seeking greener pastures.

Should be interesting after this week to see if others quit.

Apparently former 5-star WR Nate Craig-Myers is next on the Auburn transfer list.

A 5* WR can't get playing time at the Barn? Something is up with that.....maybe the guy isn't all that or has a bad attitude and Gus sat him.

As anemic as Gus' offense looked Saturday you would think they would try and get Stidham all the help they can.

Why? He would be the 5th or 6th best WR on our roster.

Why not? How tall is he? Maybe he could have a dieter type roll

Dieter dropped a 3rd down pass vs Clemson that would have given us a 1st down and in the process run 2 1/2 minutes off the clock late in 3rd or it may have been the 4th qtr. One other receiver did the same. Big plays that weren't made for the good guys.

I remember that, I'm not saying I want that to happen again, just saying that he could have a roll

These other schools can certainly get a fair (albeit small) share of the 5 stars but they don't seem to be able to coach them up like Saban does.

Is there a better and more deserving team this could happen to? I hope they lose 20 players.

We better tend to our own knitting. We might learn that some of our guys might do the same.

So the school gets stuck with paying for the scholly of a player that has turned in his keys for the year? Quitters getting a bonus. Imagine that.

It's not a grad transfer rule. It's a transfer rule. Blake Barnett showed them the way with the 4-2-4 rule, and with the new redshirt rule, they don't even lose this year of elegibility. A sophomore leaving now can go to juco, and be playing with 3 years of eligibility left next fall.

Don't be surprised if some of our players do this looking for a better opportunity. We have lots of upperclassment playing behind freshmen and sophomores. Hell, this is still a possibility for Hurts if he opts to do it.

who among the juniors and seniors worth a darn are sitting behind younger guys. We had a few leave earlier like Warmack who is starting with Oregeon but I doubt he would have starter at Bama.

And sophomores and even freshmen. Any single player who wants to play more and can do it somewhere else is free to leave mid-season now. Even a freshman sitting behind another freshman, sophomore, or junior could go if he thinks he can go somewhere and not sit the next year.

You seem to want to downplay this, but it can be really bad for depth. You'll see depth devastated for some team in the near future because of this rule. I just hope it won't be my team.
