Nobody knows what a kid is thinking, but we have more talent sitting on our bench than most schools have as starters. Hell, Jalen Waddle is one of the most exciting players in the SEC, and he's behind Jeudy on the depth chart, and will be until the 2020 season. He seems happy, and he may be fine with being mostly a kick returner for the next two seasons, or he may decide he wants to play. Ale Kaho is in the same position behind Moses, and he's already left one school. Brian Robinson? Any number of O and D linemen. Najee would have been a prime candidate last year. (I'm only using these guys as examples because of their position on the depth chart, not because I think any of them would consider leaving)
There's no way for anyone not in the locker room to know what a kid is thinking, but the combination of the 4-2-4 rule and the 4 game redshirt rule means that it's something we should be cognizant of.
And I'm not saying it would happen to any school this year, since most players probably haven't considered the full effect of the new rules yet. But look for it to explode in the near future. Somewhere.

Saban does a good job of getting these kids in early whether it be on ST or some other role. OL, per NS, is the hardest to teach due to all the plays and formations they have to learn. Most of them know they wont see early PT and the ones that leave are probably never going to contribute as a starter, like Warmack.

This is very true.

This is true, too, but you also have guys like Kennedy who would have seen a bunch of playing time this year, but was able to go be a starter at Tennessee before his injury.
I guess we'll see how it shakes out down the road. I'll be surprised if there's an overwhelming number of transfers this year anyway.
