What really gets me is that this is a senior and junior laden team and their talking about anxiety ?? Never seen anything like it before you would figure this is their first time against a top 10 opponent.

Saban likes to bring in people to speak to the players during the off-season. Celebrity-types of people.
I’m beginning to think if he should bring in former players instead.
Great video. Constant dude has me rolling at “you aint going on a date w a new damn woman”

Times have changed man. It isn't about yelling pointlessly like a drill instructor.
The Process has always been about great preparation, great gameplan and great execution.
You need the first two to do well on the last and the first two is where we have struggled the past two seasons.

Thing is drill instructors and that whole system developed by the army was set up to make people perform under real stress and anxiety of life and death. Hand holding isn’t working and I bet UGA isn’t having talks about feelings

Anxiety is real. Stallings used to throw up before every game. But when you get between those lines like Ragland said everything is football. The leadership is not there to make this team prepared to play the right way and it starts at the top and goes down.

This bunch is Mr Whipple Charmin soft and it's not going to change this year.
They have leaders that really are talkers only.

So them talking shite is going to just randomly make these dudes less anxious pregame? We lost because our D coordinator doesn’t know how to counter someone scheming WR’s on our safeties who struggle in pass coverage. Not cause they were anxious
Then why did Will Anderson publicly say it was because they were anxious? Why did Saban say it was because they were "tight?" I think it's mainly on Golding too and maybe they just flat out aren't good enough, but the team itself is saying there is some sort of psychological issue.

I thought Cochran was almost a cartoon at times, but maybe he was actually getting these guys pumped up on the sidelines. I know we got all "scientific" with S&C, but it also seems like we got pushed around a lot less before. I don't know.

I wonder what Saban's pre-game speeches are like now. Is he yelling at the guys to "make his a** quit"? Feels like the answer is no.

Is Damion Square on an NFL roster? If not, bring him back as a coach. He had one of the best locker room speeches I've ever heard. Our team needs this energy: Twitter Video

We need that kind of attitude back. What I'd give for guys like Square, Jonathan Allen, Reggie Ragland, Reuben Foster, etc. right now. We need some real DOGS.

Pretty sure they’ve heard enough without more dog piling on at this point.
Again, you're basically saying that they're soft as hell by this comment. They need to hear this shite from now until the end of the season or until they start dominating the way their talent suggests they should.
It's like that guy on the internet complaining about how they ain't got enough dogs. Got too many cats. Where are the dogs at? Where is McClain, Hightower, Foster, Dickerson, Harrison? Do we have any of those guys on our team? I want guys out there that have bad intentions.

All I took from this; I did not expect Nick Gentrys voice to sound like that.

Saban has said himself that since he’s grandchild was born he’s tried to change his approach to players. Said it made him see things different. You reap what you sow. You sow bad mfer’s that’s what you get. If you don’t, well…

We definitely get pushed around more. It's not just his antics on the sideline. The critical area where I believe he is missed is in running the 4th quarter conditioning program. He's the only coach who can work with the players during those times of the year. He was the one in their ears and in their heads getting the message across and instilling that mentality.

Bama has had juggernaut offensive teams since and has won multiple NCs since then, but as far as defense, something was lost that night
I agree with your overall sentiment but this right here is wrong. That 2016 team had a juggernaut defense/ST not offense. Yes they gave up the game winning TD but that because they were worn out after the offense had numerous 3 and outs and averaged about 2 min per drive. Also not their fault Clemson wasn’t called for a single holding on 90+ plays. All Bama’s offense had to do in that game was continue to run the ball even after Bo went down but instead they had Hurts dropping back play after play resulting in really short drives

That makes me wanna run through a brick wall. The mental advantage Bama had just walking onto the field from 08-16 was absurd.
Square never even lit up the stat sheet or was a star but we had DOGS like him all over the roster.
Someone else mentioned, I think Deshaun Watson’s back to back historic performances against us kind of broke that aura.
For a period of time, it was SHOCKING when a team converted even a 3rd and inches on us, and shocking when we didn’t convert on offense in crucial situations.
Now we never stop those and never convert them.
