16 seed Howard gave them a good game until they pulled away towards the end. If we play our A game and light up the nets then we absolutely can win. We'll need Sherrell to hold his own down low, and Williamson to play with the same intensity as he did last night.

Crazy that we've played seven of the S16 teams already (actually 4–4).

L Purdue
W Illinois

It's not a good matchup but maybe that tough schedule pays off for us.

Its a better matchup than most think. They arent great defending the 3, and Mara is really uncomfortable defending outside of the paint, our bigs will get plenty of open 3s.

Its weakness on weakness, which may make for a funner game to watch than strength on strength.

Massive disrespect out of Vegas... we are on the wrong end of the largest point spread, 10.5, of all the Sweet 16 games upcoming

We may not win. But, I would bet money that Williamson comes out and plays with fire and intensity and helps us out. The guy is in a different place emotionally right now. He is feeling himself a bit. He may not hit a single three, but he will give us quality defensive minutes and help someway on offense.

He's no longer inept. He's ept.

I get the historical data points say they’re apt to work our asses like other teams with elite length and athleticism in the front court. However we are as healthy as we’ve been in our front court since before the season. I have some hope with Williamson being more than just a guy inhabiting space on the court and TBB playing very well too. Allen and Jemison are bigger factors than they were in the OOC too.

I wouldn’t count us out. The disrespect is good. +10.5 is a big number but I guess the two other 1 seeds we’ve played beat us by 25 and 27. That must be the thought process.

I was ready to run through a wall when John Petty said that looking right at the camera.

“Everybody seems to want a piece of Alabama… They can get it too.”

This team is playing the best defense of the season....still might not be enough but they are getting after people. Let everyone tell Michigan how good they are and tell us we have no chance all week long.

Lets get in their faces and see how it goes. This is a better team than the one that faced the pre season gauntlet.,

It has always been strange to me how these sort of narratives exist in relation to a postseason format that is prone to chaos. Especially now when there is more parity than ever. We have good players too. Philon and Allen are future NBA guys. Odds are we'll lose, possibly badly, but it's like 70/30 and it wouldn't be any kind of historic upset if we won.

We can beat Michigan but it is going to take a helluva game from the front court. They've got to at least dull that advantage a bit and keep the court stretched for Philon to operate in the paint. Additionally, probably going to need another great game from Mallette and Wrightsell. They're our veterans...gotta lead the way.

The Impression their fans have of us is we cannot stop them believe it or not they think no one can run with them. They re a lot like Florida they take off and try to hit the big pass downcourt

I think their plan will be to try and run us off the three point line and funnel us to Lurch inside. We have to move the ball run them hard and play defense better than they expect. Lets see if they can run as well as they think they can

Just getting back into the office after driving back to Bama from Tampa yesterday. What a great weekend. Got to meet several of the players, got to meet Coach Murphy and Coach Oats. Watched the smug gator fans go home early with their tails tucked and watched Bama play 2 complete games. To those that are getting to go to Chicago, I'm jealous. If you're sitting anywhere near the Bama section just follow Houston's dad's lead. He is non stop energy in the stands just like Houston is on the court!

Yeah, they're definitely going to try to force us to finish at the rim. We were fantastic against Texas Tech at driving into the lane but not getting out of control and finding an open three point shooter. If we're going to upset Michigan we'll need a lot of that.

I'd also imagine Sherrell (and Williamson) will be open a LOT from behind the arc. I hope Sherell can hit some threes and Williamson maybe has the confidence to hit 1 or 2 as well.

Desperately need Sherrell, Jemison and Allen to stay out of foul trouble.

It's a tall order but as good a Michigan is they've let a lot of teams hang around with them all season.
