Tank is good not great. He has struggled against the best defenses.
And he has still proven, on the field, that he's better at this point in time than anybody we've got returning.
Are you forgetting how bad Alabama's RB's were against good defenses? We had 71 yards as a team against Auburn. 91 against Florida. 115 against Georgia. And 6 yards against LSU.

I doubt he's part of Saban's plan; but if he wanted to be here, I'd find it hard to say no to experienced and quality depth.

Why is he leaving ? This is out of control.

More Battle than him. He used Tanks momentum to put him in a seat and drag him. Tank was basically helpless.
Yeah, Battle didn’t get near enough credit for that play. Seeing it in game speed, I don’t think a lot of people realize how physically impressive it was to do that.

He apparently saw that au has no oline now and no prospects in the future.

Lots of smoke that he feels like Auburn under-utilized him in key moments, choosing to go with another smaller back or bo sneak instead of him for short yardage/goal line.

In fairness to Tank he was doing what 99% of backs would have done, trying to get the 1st down b/c if he gets that first down the game is over.
This. I have no idea why he has been berated so much. He was tackled from behind. It's not like he just shuffled out of bounds to avoid contact. He was only a yard short of the first down.
It was a dumber 3rd down play that lost 3 yards.

Before anybody gets their hopes up with tank coming to Bama, there is a poster on BOL that is close to tank and the situation somehow. He called him hitting the transfer portal about 2 weeks ago. He said he'll be playing for georgia next year

That's the word from auburn insiders as well, they assume that UGA got in the ear of someone close to him through backchannels because it went from the rumors being many different possible schools to just UGA before he even put in the transfer.

Kirby go through back channels to tamper with another team's player and induce him to transfer? Surely not.

Utterly shocking behavior from Mr. Smart. Can't imagine he would ever do something so slimy.

Being reported elsewhere he is going to stay at Auburn now
Who knows
Who knows

If I'm Harsin, I'm doing everything I can to get him to stay. Its a real bad look to have your best offensive player transfer out to a direct rival.
Dead Period means Carnell and Harsin are back on campus for the first time in a while, so maybe they managed to get him to at least meet in person and try and talk things out.

Apparently the latest is that Tank is staying at Auburn. The coaching $taff was able to talk him into it.
Seems like a lot of the Auburn fans rightly don't care whether he and Nix stay or leave... there is a larger rebuilding and philosophy change needed that will work or not with time.
I also think it would be smart for Auburn to try their hand with this relatively low paid coach for a while -- I cannot believe what others around the SEC are paying for arguably similarly proven coaching talent (UF inked a ton, Ole Miss leveling up, Ark talking about it, A&M is paying ton for a recruiter, LSU is gambling)... just unreal dollars.

Gibbs is a better tailback. Would take him 10/10 times over Tank

Its not real money, its all coming straight out of the SEC TV money. They have to spend it somewhere, it used to be spent on facility upgrades like a waterfall or slide, now it goes to coaches.

With immediate transfer, who is to stop every coach essentially recruiting any player in college football at the moment?
I figure kickers and punters could take advantage of this real easy.

The AIR app exists for a reason. I'd expect that this is happening across the country as we speak.

He's the best RB in the SEC, so yeah, you take him if you can.

I think that's the huge new that folks been hinting...
