We beat Formby.

That was the greatest win of all

I have mixed feelings about Rammer Jammer tonight. We did indeed beat the hell out of them but man it didn't reflect the actual game.

Seeing "Saban Field at Bryant Denny Stadium" in the stands and at the entrance to the Walk of Champions...

There was some debate and gnashing of teeth that the "field" wasn't enough. Many clamored for his name to be affixed to the Stadium (removing Denny).

At the end of the day, the field is the holy ground. You can play football without a stadium. I bet Saban feels pretty good about it.

No he wasn't, it took the coaches 3.5 qtrs to throw a rb screen. Or a short pass to Ryan. They've got to make quicker adjustments

Yup. A short pass to Hollywood is not a bad play. We should do it more than once or twice a game.

On a positive note, we beat USF worse than Saban did last year...

I was one of the many that wanted Saban’s name added to the stadium, didn’t want Denny dropped, but I did think he deserved his name on the stadium. I never expected that they would actually attach his name in lights and on all the signage outside.

In the end the naming of the field turned out to be more than just the naming of the field. With those signs in place In essence the stadium was renamed, and I shouldn’t have doubted that the University would adequately honor Saban.

Not even going to mention Formby or officiating mostly because I have no words that are respectful of this forum.

3 upperclassmen putting the ball on the ground?
defensive game plan with no Russaw?
5 and 6 man boxes against a QB that can't throw it in the ocean?

I'm going to chalks this up to working out the kinks. The whole thing was bizarre from the beginning.

At some point, offenses have to look at themselves and see who the playmaker is, and just feed that guy.

A team like Bama likes to pride itself on having talent all over and spreading it around. Ain't worth it.

Feed Ryan Williams all he can handle...

I agree totally, but at the same time there were several plays where the short or intermediate route was open but Milroe chose to throw it deep. He’s got to learn to defer to the higher percentage throw and not the highlight reel throw. That’s on him, not the coaches.

Didn't we try? He was being held and grabbed all game. They refused to call PIs after the 2nd one on him.

Pretty sure I saw Formby holding in that video of Proctor getting pregame reps.
