Indiana has 7 blue chip players on its roster. Ohio State has 67.

Which is more ammunition for my contention that subjective star ratings are meaningless other than to collect money from rabid fans.

What Cignetti has done at IU is more remarkable than Lane and OleMiss

I wish Mendoza was our QB

He believes in the Lord as well but he actually is tough mentally and physically

That's dumb, dude. We're about to make the playoff in year two after being first team on the bubble in year one. Have we regressed lately? Absolutely. We are beat to hell. Give me this team with two weeks to prepare and get healthy against anyone. That D gonna feast.

I like him a lot. Those who aren’t familiar with him other than his time at Bama and his record at Indiana, he seems to be both old- and new-school. Read some stuff about him where his attention to detail was described as Sabanesque, but he is kind of like the old Moneyball A’s in baseball in that he looks for people who may not have a lot of stars next to their names or be hotly desired by fans and recruiting services, but he puts them in a team context and has them playing with chips on their shoulders and they excel. He also has relatively short practices although they practice at full speed and intensity, he believes in getting out there, getting your business done and getting off the field. The byword is efficiency.

We dont know we are going to make the "12" team playoff. Did I mention twelve teams? We've 3 losses. We are more than likely going to once again have 4 losses. I think what we saw tonight was way past regression.

Was Cignetti ever considered when Saban retired?

It was repeated ad nauseum that he was too old. How dumb does that sound now?

Cool watching these fans cheer for a team that has never done shite. Feel good for them.

NIL and a workable transfer portal at work. Cignetti is like a God here.

Projections have them possibly playing ND in the qtr finals. A win there he might get a lifetime extension.

Agreed. I don't why people act like what Lane did at Ole Miss was so remarkable when Freeze inherited an even bigger shitshow and had more top 5 wins there.

IU was like one of the historically worst programs in America.

And that's the issue right there. He's hamstrung by a criteria that is palatable to folks that matter.

If he had played the schedule Ty faced, Mendoza would be curled up in a fetal position (and Indiana would be headed to Birmingham or Shreveport for their postseason bowl, if they were eligible for a bowl).
