And then the Florida game was the type of game that is tough for even the most seasoned QBs to handle, and he was fantastic in terms of poise and staying under control.

And the UF defense was no slouch. They played us perfect for the most part. Only allowing short throws and pretty much eliminated anything over 20. When we did throw it long it seemed our WR was doubled covered and they were willing to take the PI instead off letting our WR takeoff.

Williams looks like our clear best WR and Metchie is pretty 'meh.' I mean he's good but more solid than anything.

Watching that video I am not sure any WR could have done better than Metchie. He was double teamd on every long ball and they were waiting on the short passes. They game planned for him very well.

I like Williams but he seems to disappear in games. I saw in that video several times he could not get open. Really hoping hoping Hall, JoJo, or another option develops.

Williams to me is kind of a one trick pony. He's very fast, he's really good on deep routes, or simple underneath routes that he can take an easy pitch and catch on for YAC. But in terms of contested catches, getting separation with route running technique, blocking... not a fully rounded player. Useful though, and deserves to be on the field.

Also it's funny to me how we all have a number of valid complaints with Bryce's play. And yet you look around college football and can name how many QBs playing better. One maybe in Corral? And he's a 2nd year player going into game 4. The ceiling for him is absurd.

Agreed - pretty nuts. Incredibly, I think most Alabama people aren't saying he should win the Heisman or saying he sucks and has to be a ton better.

We as a fanbase seem to be..........being reasonable about where he is? Good young player, great signs for the future, work to do, really excited about him.

I don't want to say it out loud or else it will dissapear.

To be fair, as well as he has played, he would more of a top ten than top two or three QB in most years. This is just oddly a major major down year for QB play across CFB.

What’s truly nuts to me is that in week 5 our first year QB could really stake a claim as the undisputed heisman front runner. Just need Bryce to play well against the Ole Miss defense (likely), and our defense to slow down and hopefully turn over Corral (less likely).

This is the year of the underwhelming QB. Rattler, Howell, Uiagaleilei, Purdy, Slovis, King, Penix, and probably a few others all return and have been more hype than actual substance. I dont know if there is a guy this year that would be in the top 5 CFB qbs in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

its more likely than you think, considering Corral has the propensity to be a turnover machine on the road.

I’m not saying it’s impossible. Could very reasonable see it. I think more than likely we won’t but I won’t be shocked. I would have liked to have see him go into turnover mode before our game at least once but oh well. I think he either has a great game or a bad game against us, not much in between. We can win in either scenario luckily.

Also one other name to watch, unfortunately, is JT Daniels. He can put together a highlight tape that matches anyone. The media will absolutely hype him up at some point.

I would like to see him step into the deep throws and not throw off his back foot, but the line play hasn't given him a lot of time. I do think he will pull the trigger a little quicker in these next few games.

He's not hard to game plan for, though, because teams aren't scared of him beating a corner over the top. Maybe a safety or a linebacker. That's not just him. It's most of our guys.

It’s also a down year nationwide on great receivers, not just at Bama.
