Well AJ Milwee was vital part of those guys development.

Just saying.

Because we have nothing to evaluate Simpson on. Also, I didn't even mention Simpson. I do think with the way Alabama recruits, there has to be somebody on the roster who can at least play at a mediocre level, which is much higher than we've seen from Milroe in any of his showings against non-cupcakes.

Thinking is going to do shite... He should've pulled him. What did he want to see more give up another int?

You can’t make any inferences on Simpson’s ability? He’s the 3rd string quarterback. Behind a guy who is behind what we saw last night. And you can’t pull ANY prognostication from that?

Buchner should start next game and should have played last night. But I don’t think anyone will like what they see from him.

It was obvious on TV too. Was weird listening to he announcers try to defend him.

Herbestreit kept calling out all the reads he was missing and all the open guys downfield that you couldn't see on TV

We have 5 scholarship QBs on the roster...all were 4 or 5 star QBs.

You're telling me we don't have ONE legitimate QB?

That would be some shite level evaluations to miss on 5 guys.

You really can’t pull much from that, knowing Saban’s history of blind deference to seniority at the QB position.

Aren’t 2 true freshman?

1 is a desperate transfer.

1 is Milroe.

I’m all for Buchner starting but you can’t be surprised that those 4 guys aren’t ready to win big games..

And Ty just doesn’t seem to be the guy. Blame him.

I know this has been a situation in the past. But has it really been THAT bad?

What are the examples? Hurts and Tua. But was that really THAT bad? Tua was a true freshman, Hurts got to the NC, and Tua won the game.

That’s a FAR CRY from letting your 5* elite talent athletic passing QB ride the bench while Milroe is out there looking terrible.

What are some other examples?

Simpson starts, Simpson hits some throws, but misses reads and throws interceptions.

How is this any worse than what the team got last night?

At least Simpson hasn't been here for three years, so there's still development time.

That's where we are.

Alabama doesn't have the defense it did with Jalen Hurts to keep it in the game long enough when the offense goes MIA for stretches.

The defense had only given up 13 points through 3 quarters. Then they gave up 21 points in the 4th.

Maybe lots of people can see what he could be with a Lane Kiffin, Steve Sarkisian, or hell, even Dan Enos. But we don't have that.

It may take time to develop a QB. But it sure as hell didn't take Lane Kiffin long to turn Blake Sims into something that no Bama fan anywhere ever thought they would see.

Do we have that kind of ability on this staff? I think we know the answer to that.

All aboard the BUCHNER train CHOO CHOO. We are winning everything!

Again, you keep saying this. This team has many of the same problems that last year’s team had. That team lost two games with Bryce Young. We don’t have a QB in the same galaxy as Bryce Young on this roster. So if Bryce Young couldn’t win it all with a team that had these problems, how can any of these QBs?

I’m fine with Simpson throwing a pick and missing a read if he can reasonably hit his receivers on a consistent basis and actually make reads

Where is this Simpson shite coming from? Practice reports? Throw the depth chart out since Saban showed he can't manage the position last night. Give someone who can play quarterback a chance

From what I've read, Boz was saying that Buchner looked the best when he went to the scrimmages?

Texas made some mistakes, just a couple of which were due to blitzing. The score should have been much more by the 4th.

I thought the defense held up well, but I'm not blind.

IMHO, the team looked like they had a much more aggressive attitude on both offense and defense last night. They saw what we saw after the 2nd interception…we aren’t winning this game with JM. It’s very tough to open running lanes when the other team knows the QB can’t read a defense. Bryce would have shredded Texas last night and we would have won by 2-3 TDs.

Edit: I should caveat that with “healthy Bryce.” Hurt Bryce was missing wide open receivers last year, even missing some reads that wasn’t like him.

Again. After watching the Monday press conference, how is any of this getting fixed in season. It’s the same issues we’ve been having for years. I’ve lost all confidence in our coaches.
