The emotion part stuck out to me. When was the last time we saw our team as excited as they were after Landon's interception? LSU 2012?

Well they are under a great deal of pressure. They can't lose... hell they can't even struggle.

If they do their own fanbase will turn on them.

Now look at the contrast between us losing to Ole Miss, a OJ catch from winning it to Auburn losing by almost 20 to Moo State.

Our fanbase is more entitled than any player and this entitlement just jacks up more and more pressure on these guys.

Good on Saban to defend them and show them he's in their corner.

Trust me, Saban wasn't pleased with the game anymore than I was.

maybe, maybe not ... but he's got a point ... not everything saban says to the media is codespeak to his team ...

Don't want to start a new thread for this, but what are your thoughts?

Did Mo really get a "frick you" from Saban after his special teams miscue? It looks like Saban said "Get the frick away from the ball! Frick you."

I could understand if that were directed at Christion Jones

Get the frick away from the ball! frick, Mo!

The comma is a difference maker.

I could see this being the case. You can't see his lips at the start of the "oh" or "oo" because of the position of Allen's helmet.

Good. But I hope he remembers he is the one that preached avoiding complacency, and being satisfied with a 14-13 win (maybe he isn't satisfied) is getting complacent.

I'm glad he's not coming to Alabama.

Maybe I'm a little offbase here, but I don't think Saban lecturing the fans is going to solve anything. Maybe it sparks something among the team, but if he wants to create positive energy around the program, there are better methods than attacking the fans for being honest after Saturday's game.

He isn't preaching complacency. Point to one area where he said "we don't need to work on anything". Don't just make stuff up.

What he is preaching is to stop being entitled. Something half this forum complained about; but are suffering from.

That is called hypocrisy.

seriously? and bitching about the team after they won a hard fought road game is going to solve something?

So fans can be honest about they feel about the game, and Saban cant? I'm confused.

So now we have the most entitled and sensitive fanbase in America?

You guys can tee off on these teenagers, but God forbid their coach defend them?

He should be cracking the whip right? How dare scrape out a tough victory against a weaker side!? I mean no championship winning Bama team has ever done that. They all win 100-0.

It really, if you want to know the truth about it, pisses me off when I talk to people that have this expectation like they’re disappointed that we only won the game 14-13 and the way we played. That’s frustrating. You want to talk about something that’s frustrating? That’s frustrating to me, for our players, who play with a lot of heart in the game
...he was saying the exact opposite after the Florida game.

Hate to tell him, but the expectation BEFORE he got here was always title or bust, and it'll be that way long after he is dead. The fans are pissed in the same way he trained everyone to be pissed. There is a lot to work on, and that is what everyone is saying.

I think that there is a difference between being happy with coming away with a hard fought victory and being happy with the mistakes we made in the game.
