It's that simple. RW could be a difference maker in this game. IU is technically sound but sometimes just having a freak athlete make 1 or 2 big plays is exactly how you produce the extra 10-14 points you need to overcome the competition.

Yes, they have but none have developed into that must have possession receiver on 3rd down.

Come on man..

Brooks literally caught a horrendous ball which gave our QB some confidence and followed that up with some more great catches.

Horton has some drops but caught 3 TDs against Auburn.

The more I read some of you guys posts the more it makes me realize many of you probably don't watch football outside of Alabama or pay much attention to what our opponents or these other top teams are doing.

They all drop balls. They all miss blocks. They all make bad throws.

The problem is when it's consistent drops, misses, missed reads or throws. The problem is if those consistent errors occur when we need the big play.

Nobody is perfect. Even Devonta Smith dropped a few. However, Williams legitimately has a drops problem. He's among the worst - maybe the worst - individual in the nation with respect to drops. Additionally, there were some times where - by my amateur eyes - that he's ran sloppy routes that threw off the QB too.

He's got some mental problem when the lights are on...not sure how someone fixes that but he's made some insane catches too. It isn't an inability thing.

However, it is still has been a huge disappointment in 2025 nonetheless. I think he had only two targets in the last game. There seems to be a loss of confidence in him from the staff and his quarterback.

Bernard, Brooks, and Horton have what I'd consider a "normal" number of drops. However, a few of them have been baffling because they were not difficult catches. It happens though.

I agree about RWs and pointed to it being all mental no differently than it was mental with Ty.

However even with the mental sorted we both know they will still drop some and RWs at his best focus still uses those pads to catch balls lol.

He would just trap them better

He's got to break that tendency. I hope Nix wears him out on using his hands.

Sure and you're a guy who repeatedly insults different members on this forum just because you don't like what they say so you're probably worse off.
