Is this good or bad? I'm guessing if Alabama has a QB that can pass next year, it's good. Maybe not that great for the RBs.

I like how the first instinct after hearing the news is how it could be bad. I bet you're a blast at parties.

Who cares, let’s play 25 first.

Did anyone ever actually hear this or have it confirmed by anyone? Or did some dumb redneck see she was black and from Michigan, and just assumed she didn't want to move to the South, and everyone else just kinda rolled with it?

I could see her being sick of moving, and enjoyed where she was. And to get an NFL opportunity without moving, is not something that happens often. But there's no longer a job for them there. So obviously she's going to want her husband to take the best possible opportunity.

Keeping Sheridan and Shephard on staff and still getting Grubb seems really good for us.

Asking a question is being negative these days? There is a reason he was fired after one year in the NFL, do a little research before declaring this as the best hire ever.

Nick Saban went 15-17 in the NFL. Posted for no particular reason.

It was just a rumor. She responded to a fan's tweet saying she had no problem moving to Tuscaloosa. Now maybe she was lying, but people were probably making it too big of a deal. It's not like they're going to permanently settle down here

Wonder if it'll be a multiyear contract with some kind of buyout. It'd be nice to have him 3 years minimum...Ty (probably) in 2025 and then Keelon for 2026 and 2027.

You never know. We've certainly had assistants whose wives never made the move. Sarkisian and Enos for sure. Kiffin too, technically.

I'd bet there were others who knew they'd be moving on and never brought their families here.

Some folks here who posted that he unequivocally would not be here and wasn’t a candidate have egg all over their faces tonight. Even I figured that he’d probably be in an analyst role for a year or two first if he came back.

This at least shows me that DeBoer has at least some level of being able to make the tough calls when the program stands to benefit from it.
