If he returns and is the starting QB rather than running the scout team, then I'm done watching until he's gone for good. I graduated from Bama in '75 and have seen plenty of highs and lows during my time as a Bama fan. But never have I seen a more discouraging display of "team" as I've seen the past two years.

People want them to be true because it's easier to justify hating a player than if they were just playing bad.
I used to know an analyst on the team whose dad also coached there, it's honestly wild what people spread.

Bond made up his mind that he was out before Saban retired. He was looking for a QB that could help him rather than him needing to make up for the QB. He started the conversation with UTx because of their QB and Sark. Once the converstion started, then the bag became the deciding factor.
He was in Austin the weekend when KD was attempting to start holding a team together. Stay at Alabama was not even a legit consideration by that point.

Hell yeah, we have a discipline problem on this team! A discipline problem that is rooted in lack of respect for the coaches. How else do you explain a player sending the coach’s daughter a dick pic and asking her if she wanted his horse c**k. I can’t even fathom doing that to my head coach’s daughter. That’s just off the chain. If I were a coach that had that happen, not only would you be off the team, you would be expelled and get your arse kicked for your going away present. AND I would tell any team that showed interest in you what a degenerate scumbag you were. Can any of you imagine that happening to Kristen Saban?

I only come on to see what everybody is thinking. I do not have much interest of opinion on this team or the coaching staff. I do wonder if Milroe will be drafted at this point.

The funny thing is about Bond leaving for Texas, if you look at his stats so far this season, he's pretty pedestrian. Not terrible but about on par for what he did at Bama last year.
Then again, he did get his leased Ferrari.

Personally, I don't take message board rumors with very much seriousness. There is a tendency for people to imagine internal or external conspiracies to explain why a team they care so much about just lost when they really wanted them to win. It's as true on here as it is on the Politics board. It is a harder pill to swallow that your team sucks than it is to invent some narrative where some 3rd party or not-sufficiently-bought-in players are wrecking your team.
