I was watching Locked on Auburn and they floated this idea. Didn’t say it as fact but that there is a rumor out there. Said there big $$$ boosters are upset with Freeze’s offense.

Side note and maybe totally unrelated but Auburn abruptly fired two of its NCAA compliance guys this week. My son-in-law is on the South Carolina compliance staff and knew/used to work with these guys. He hasn’t been in contact with them yet but I’d be curious with what’s up with that and is there a correlation with Freeze?

Now, before anyone gets their bowels in an uproar about this, I’m not “guaranteeing anything” or “promising” anything, I’m just passing this along. You can believe it or not believe it.

Honestly, I would be shocked if Hugh made it through this season

If you are going to or considering it better do it now. The coaching search is already heating up with all the vacancies.

Freeze needs to get better fast or he’s out. He is an offensive guy and the offensive is terrible and he hasn’t won, you gotta win. He needs to beat Bama or Georgia and get in a good bowl to keep his job, doesn’t look like the bowl will happen.

AU has a good defense that will keep them in games. Arkansas and Kentucky are awful - they should win those plus another cupcake. So they will get 6 wins at least.

Another loss or two and the defense may decide to phone it in.

Hasn't been there 3 years yet has he? Not a fan of au obviously but how can you not give someone time to rebuild?

They're so lucky they have Arkansas and Kentucky both on their schedule...automatic 2 game win streak.

I’ve heard that he’ll be fired next week after the UGA loss.

You gotta wonder though, is 6-6 good enough for Freeze to keep this job? I highly doubt it. If they could somehow beat us, I'd say yes.

Don’t worry, they’ll look like the Patriots circa 2004 when they play us… in that fricking voodoo house they play in.

I feel like they can still get to 7-8 wins. Take Ls to us and Georgia, but Arkansas and Kentucky should be wins. Missouri a toss up since it’s in Auburn and Mizzou has choked there before. Probably lose to Vandy on the road, but not a sure L. W against Mercer gets them to 7 if they beat Mizzou.

I do think he's a goner unless he upsets us in the voodoo palace but if he was on the verge of being fired, it would already be on ESPN.
