1:1 coverage (itself) doesn’t scare me. It’s the aspect where we have to switch and have lots of communication that scares me

The 4th Down TD for SC last week was due to poor communication/eyes. Moore should have that Zone and Sabb had the inside route.

Honestly, that’s all on Malachi/Sabb. This defense on the backend is still working in progress to gel. Lots and lots of change.

That’s understandable. He is responsible for two 4th down TDs (Vandy/SC). Both could have cost us big time (one of them did (Vandy)).

He needs to shut up and play. Honestly, I wonder if the staff is putting too much responsibility on his shoulders with all the young players and play calls, etc.

Can’t wait to watch us drop back in zone on passing downs so the QB can get in a groove.

"Rushing" 3 is gonna be a blast

Can’t stand when we go 1DL 2 OLBs on third and long or when we have 2DL and 2OLBs and stunt one of the OLBs to basically stand in no man’s land and spy the QB. Rush the damn quarterback and stop just letting him sit back and pick you apart while you play zone with no pass rush. Infuriating really.

Option 1) Moore isn't getting the calls in time to communicate them to the other players
Option 2) The new players in the secondary are blowing their coverage responsibilities and leaving him and Sabb out to dry
Option 3) Moore is simply not capable of handling the coverage responsibilities he's been given or is injured

Arkansas dropped 8 most of the game and completely threw off their timing.

I think it's pretty tough to pressure them a bunch with their wide splits by their WR. You either have to show your bringing a blitz and let them try to decide who is actually coming, or you have to get very creative in your alignment.

Guess their offense isn't so great after all.

They haven't played Bama's top rated defense yet.

We’re also kinda buying the lede here. Tennessee’s running game has been the best part of their offense and their RB their best player, and we’ve all seen our defense against the run lately…

You must not know any Tennessee fans

They've been talking so much shite that anything less than a multiple score win will be considered a failure. Talk about delusional.

Go back and look at the time of possession in UT's Ark and Fla games. Florida and Arkansas dominated there. They were both able to run efficiently and use their TEs extremely well.

UT has a very good DL, but their secondary is average/below average. They really try to get pressure from their front 4 but they sometimes push way past the LOS and the fail to set the edge at times. That bodes very well for Jalen scrambling. If we can protect Milroe, he should carve up the Tenn secondary. The Arkansas QB threw for nealry 300 yards.

UT in their first 4 games defensively:

Rushing - 50 yards per game, 1.57 yards per carry. 1 TD
Passing - 125 yards per game, 57% completion, 1 TD, 2 INT

UT in their last 2 games defensively:

Rushing - 137 yards per game, 3.27 yards per carry, 2 TD
Passing - 260 yards per game, 66% completion, 2 TDs, 1 INT

Offensively:

First 4 games - 565 yards per game, 54ppg
Last 2 games - 322 yards per game, 18.5ppg

He’s regressed since freshman year.
