Bama was his first Big time job . I get frustrated at times with communication calls and such but he has done a pretty good job and recruits well. He is getting better IMO

Edit- the D has played fast and aggressive this year

Agreed. I have been very critical of him the last 2-3 years, but am opening up to the idea that he can turn into a pretty damn good DC.

At this point, I’m not salty that he’s our guy next year; but I definitely want to see much better consistency and far fewer busts than we had this year.

We'll see what adjustments he makes against UGA. Todd Monken is a terrific play caller and our secondary got burned some by them last month.

They will make some plays … most teams do nowadays but our guys are usually in position to defend . Sometimes well thrown balls with timing and talented receivers are hard to defend for 4 quarters

We have improved on Defense. Just look at our blitzes now. Harris and To’o To’o (sp). Are blitzing like they want to get there now

Agreed. Hopefully if we can't sack Bennett we can bat down or tip some passes like Friday. I remember that we batted a pass and it ended up as an interception in the 2020 game.

I have to admit our defense has gotten markedly better down the stretch the last two years. I just don’t see why they have to suck the first half of the season. I don’t remember that being the pattern when Smart and Pruitt were running the show. Anyway, they are going to need to play out of their minds again on 1/10. Create havoc, turnovers, make 13 see ghosts. I think our offense is going to struggle more than last time, so the D may have to save the day. Hopefully they are up to the task!

I think that the first task is to slow down their running game. Not completely shut it down but slow it enough so that the game is in Bennett's hands. Georgia has a stable of talented backs and Bama did a commendable job the first time. They need to do the same or better this time.
