D+.

Beat UGA and then pretty much everything after that sucked. Beating LSU was a mirage.

Why is everything some conspiracy to some of you?

Milroe was our best option because two HCs chose him and one is the GOAT we sorely miss.

I'm really wondering if KDB isn't even giving Ty snaps because he is hoping the Freshmen comes in and takes it.

One thing is certain, KDB is in over his head. Needs to expand his off-field staff to help him

DeBoer has a long, good track record at multiple levels. I think he knows how to coach football.

Outside of Chizik, coaches with bad records don’t usually get promoted. There’s a long list of coaches with success at multiple stops who fell on their face when they finally got to the top of the sport and the pressure is to win is skyhigh. Ask Scott Frost. Alabama/SEC is a different animal than anywhere else DeBoer has been. DeBoer is also without Grubb, who was with him at every spot.

There are a lot of early red flags that DeBoer doesn’t have what it takes to be successful at a school like Alabama.

I don’t disagree, but Saban was often able to get former high-level coordinators and even head coaches into those jobs because people wanted to work for Saban. I don’t know that the return is the same just hiring former players for their first job.

KDB fired everyone of Saban's analyst except two of them.

How about he not do that as his first piece of business entering a conference and team which he has no understanding of managing??

I'm happy Milroe won't be back.

However I'm saf because it's like we have the "Milroe" of college coaches.

Frost had ONE winning season before he got “promoted” to the Nebraska job. His resume and DeBoers aren’t even in similar stratospheres.

I’d say DeBoer’s pre-Alabama resume is similar to a Brian Kelly before he got to Notre Dame. The jury is still out on both guys but I think they both know how to coach and win. They’ve proven it over an extended period of time.

As I said, I want to see what the guy does with his people running his stuff, not something tossed together just to get by with what he has to work with, before I make a judgment.

There were people open all damn day today. The plays … except that awful run at the end … were fine. He gets people who can execute the plays, we’ll score points and if the defense maintains what it did late, we will beat people.

You will note I said ifs are involved.

Minus Caleb Downs and that's like losing two players.

Minus Isaiah Bond.

Minus Trey Amos.

Minus Roydell Williams.

I can go on.

I’d give a C-, but it got rounded up. There were some A to A+ moments and some low D (Vandy and UT) and F (OU and today). I was expecting at least a B. The season was a disappointment with a really bad ending. I had high hopes for DeBoer, but some doubt has definitely crept in. This spring is going to be very interesting. I really hope a QB asserts himself, and we get a glimpse of the offense we all expected to see.

There is a crap ton of coaches that look good with good players or look bad with bad players.
And when you inherit a quarterback with all the talent in the world, but no brains to match, you will get a LOT of high ups and low lows throughout the season.
I know Deboer needed to swap QBs, but let's face it, Simpson hasn't truly lit it up when he's been in. Nothing like what Tua was doing under Hurts.
So, what options truly were there??
The games we lost, Milroe played absolutely horribly. Games we won, such as Georgia and LSU, Milroe played Heisman level.
So, how much is that coaching??

I'll give Deboer a C-

There were some things he did and didn't do through the season that will be destructive to the program going forward. It is hard to imagine him being 180 degrees different than he has shown since arriving.
