Like I had mentioned a month ago or so, Golding is gone for the stuff that happened (drinking, trash talking) etc. Saban always wants a landing pad if possible for these guys. The Ole Miss talks are pretty heavy from what I’m to understand. If he didn’t find a place it would be a Co Situation until his contract is up. I’m looking forward to seeing how we move on from this.

Kiffin will offer Golding as a means to win favor with Bama in the future .

We know Saban does right by his staff publicly but we also know that he does hold accountability. Golding in large part is what cost Alabama a playoff berth this year. The defense never performed to their talent level and really have not his entire time in leadership.

Should be interesting to see how this plays out but I can’t imagine him being here without another adult in the room actually doing the management over defense.

Spending 1.6 million on a lame duck position coach seems very not good.

It’s a sunk cost a program trying to get one or more titles is willing to make if it helps that effort.

Better to overpay someone you may get good work out of in a lesser role than pay them to just not dust your doors again.

Thank you, Boz. Any word or even a hint that Golding might actually finally be leaving the building is music to my ears.

Not much news to read here about the PG/Ole Miss rumors: LINK
Just a 'confirmation' that there's something going on with Golding. So, there indeed is smoke and I hope there will eventually be fire (in some shape or form, like Boz is suggesting).
