I think the Senior Bowl hurt Cornbread more than anything. He had a pretty rough week IMO.

I thought Moses might get picked up by the Patriots with their fifth round pick...they went for an ILB, but not Moses. His medical evaluations must have been terrible. Hate it for him. He was always in the first round of mock drafts... until after this past season. Even then I thought he'd go third round.

He’s been here for five years. Staying another year isn’t going to help him lose 30-40 lbs.

If he put his mind to it he could easily. For guys that big, dropping 30 lbs is about like an average dude dropping 10. The fact that he never did shows a massive lack of self control and discipline which is why you see him dropping like a rock in the draft. Shame really.

I get that NFL stereotypes would say he should play lighter, but he’s been very successful in the 340s. Sure he can’t play in every scheme at that weight, but it’s not like the scheme he’s been great in is a novelty offense. We run very common NFL blocking concepts. He’s been consistently successful, in an NFL scheme, against future NFL players. He has no major medical issues. The best indicator of future production is past production. Unless teams found something unknown in the medicals or something to be scared of in the personal background info, it doesn’t make sense for him to go later than 4th round.

I mean the Broncos drafted a division 3 guard in the 3rd round. That’s a guy with so much unknown, his only experience with good competition is a week at the senior bowl.

Meanwhile, cornbread, just this year has blocked with great success Bobby Brown, Tyler Shelvin, and Tedarrell Slaton. All DTs who went ahead of Deonte in the draft. Not to mention all of the past and future draft picks he’s played (and practiced) against with a track record of success.

You still have to look at need and scheme. The Broncos are deep at Oline and that kid they took has a ton of upside so they took him. A lot of teams are drafting tackles to play guard cause they want more athletic guys. I get it we love Corn bread but he was in the 7-10 range of guards in this draft and he went 8. He has done well for himself and I wish the best for him.

Fletcher went to the Panthers. Damn that is cool. Never though I would see him go before Moses. Now I just hope some one picks him up.

Dylan’s medical stuff must have came back absolutely awful for no one to have taken him yet

Yeah people have been alluding to it in this thread. I think once we hear all the info we are going to find out his medical history is a mess.

Forristall’s medicals also probably pretty bad if he goes undrafted. Player of his caliber and versatility should be an easy 5-7 round pick otherwise.

He's no OJ Howard or Billingsley.

Jon Doe pointed out he was always falling down. Good player but maybe not NFL caliber.

Dylan Moses is the biggest tragedy. I feel bad for the dude. It's one thing to be a college player who never had the expectations of being a superstar. It's another thing to be a 5 start "first rounder" type to not get drafted at all (as of this writing).

He hasn't been drafted yet? That's insane.

True, but no one was claiming that. He doesn’t have top 3 round potential. He’s never going to catch 40+ balls in a season. But when healthy, he’s a pretty good route runner with great hands. He’s got good size and basketball skills for the red zone. He’s a competent blocker. Not fast but not a total oaf either. Lots of guys make a living being reliable with that skill set in the NFL as a 2nd or 3rd TE. Low ceiling but high floor.

The big question is health.

At this point I'm wondering if he had a leg amputated and it hasn't been reported. To not take a late round flyer on a guy with obvious ability...says volumes.

I mean after this year he had to have a small surgery, why he didn’t come back is a weird situation. I honestly think it was more pressure from his family than anything. His entire life he has been put on a cloud. He’s a tremendous talent and showed flashes of it, I think he needed one more year of solid tape. Look what being patient did for Mac.
