Didnt someone on here say that Cignetti did a majority of the player evaluations for Saban before offering them?

We can land players as long as they're already in the portal by the 16th. 16th is just the cutoff to enter.

Is there a rule that doesn’t allow them to completely drop out of school and re enroll at another institution after the portal closes??? Didn’t I read where somebody did that last year? Team wouldn’t sign off on them entering portal so after it closed the player dropped out and enrolled at another school.

Texas schools are dropping absolute bags right now. Current era of NIL sucks hard.

BOL expects Ty Haywood to start classes at Alabama this week.

Unless, of course, Texas asks nicely for him to visit them instead.

I understand Bama isn’t always going to outbid a school like Oregon with Nike money or a Texas school with oil money but the response to the portal after the way our season ended has been disheartening. You have a top target on campus for the weekend and signs with Texas and then have someone enroll in classes here and still flip. I think we have seven commits and this includes a punter, a back up TE, and I think a long snapper. I was always going to give DeBoer three years and at this point he’s just hard to defend. Him and Morgan have dropped the ball.

Texas is overspending is probably a better way of looking at it. Think about how much they spent this last season just to miss the playoffs.

What do you want them to do? They can't force guys to sign and we can't outbid teams with unlimited money who are willing to pay over market value for guys like Texas is.

And Mark Cuban is now involved with Indiana and he could fund the NIL for an entire conference if he wanted to

Texas is taking our lunch money and stuffing us into a locker. Sad.

What's sad is all the pathetic chicken littles acting like Bama's success in 2026 hinges on a NC state RB and soft arse Cam Coleman.

Then don’t announce it and move forward with enrolling in classes. This isn’t hard.

That sounds plausible. Maybe I'm being naive but the fact that Saab, Bray, Pierre & others haven't announced anything yet leads me to believe they're staying.

Pierre still considering the NFL draft, gotta believe his report leads him back though

F Texas

Just sell them some of the Bama trophies. They can pay for the new engravings.

Don't announce it when a guy commits to play for Bama? God forbid they take a kid at his word.
