I wonder if H Smothers could bring his teammate OT Jacarrius Peak with him on the visit. Had a really good season for NC State and some thought he might enter the draft but declared for the portal today.

More burst and agility than anyone we have had since Gibbs. If the run game is total shite again next year it's clearly a scheme issue.

Smothers probably came here to take starter snaps, no?
Hill did some good things for us but I see him in the same vein as Jalston Fowler. He is probably "slash" player as in RB/FB/H-Back.
I think Smothers is probably going to be the starter and Dear v. Crowell for the 2nd back. Hill is probably a situational guy. If they're smart, they start working on Hill's run blocking because we need some dudes at H-B/TE that can actually do it.

I think Dre Washington came here to be a starter too. I think anyone who portals in sees themselves as the 1.

Smothers comes from the ACC instead of the Sun Belt. So I think the chance that his credentials are legit are much better than Washington. I always felt like Washington was brought in for depth and flyer to see if we could find a diamond in the rough.
Smothers is the 2nd best back in the portal according to some sites. That's a guy looking for starter snaps or at least some sort of timeshare situation.
