No worries. I wouldn't wish it even on my enemies. It's bonkers.

Which is why the populace needs to wake up and change the government. Italy suspended all mortgage payments, and it didn't seem difficult for them to do so. Lots of countries force companies to provide paid leave. Lots of countries have business cultures where working from home is normal and has been for years. It's the US that's behind the times and woefully unprepared, as well as having a dunce for President. Lots of countries have proactive governments that prioritize the welfare of citizens over profit - just not the US. The rest of the world is much better off to handle this disaster. Don't blame the coronavirus - blame the people in charge who created this system that benefits them and screws you. And there will be another coronavirus real soon - bank on it.

We may disagree on some things but this right here is spot on

I used to have and liked that setup. I think I'll go back to it. I have the mirror and a hook. Just need to mount the stick-on hook for the mirror. I make a big mess to clean up shaving at the sink.

So Prevatt just wanted to throw my .10 in:

The WHO during the course of this has spun a few things off kilter for instance the death percentages they lowered 3 times, wasted time telling people what they should call the virus and how to not “stigmatize” the use of the word. Giant waste of time.

The EU also made a mistake by not tightening entry into countries and rather still allowed global travel over preventing a global pandemic. Russia, Mongolia, and Singapore did this with 0 deaths and a tiny number of people have the virus. Italy on the other hand is over 1K deaths and over 10K infected.

This virus has been used as a political prop, and it’s frankly disgusting on all accounts. That’s all I need to say about it, everyone knows, sees it.

Otherwise yeah I agree and if you look at the numbers from H1N1 and others we just aren’t on track to hit that.

Side note, spoke with people today who had no idea what the Spanish Flu was, hard to believe.

Someone that works at uab said they are being slammed with people that want to be tested. Anyone that has to sneeze calls them and wants to be tested. Still no one has tested positive. But the strange thing that the medical community says they cant explain is that children seem to be immune to it. I guess, the younger you are the better in this case.

To piggyback off what Roll Tide Ravens posted...

Alabama private lab gains approval to test for coronavirus

An Alabama-based private lab was granted approval Thursday to begin testing for the novel coronavirus and will take samples at drive-thru locations in Vestavia Hills and Bessemer.

Assurance Scientific Laboratories, based in Vestavia Hills, said in a statement that it is currently accepting patient samples to test for the virus, known as COVID-19, and that testing results would be available within four hours.

The lab will be capable of running 10,000 samples a week “with room for increased volume, as needed,” the company said.

The one in Vestavia is 3 minutes from my place. At least if I start getting sick I know where to go to get tested. Stay Safe guys!

Josh Moon reported that a positive test was returned to Jackson Hospital in Montgomery yesterday afternoon. They are retesting before going public with it.

Imagine that. You finally start testing people and you almost immediately find someone that has it.
