Posting this here because I don't want to poke the bear on the Coaching Changes Board or SEC Rant/Tiger Rant, but Orgeron is going to be the next LSU Head Coach. I have a family member that works for the LSU AD. Herman is likely to remain at Houston, Strong will shockingly remain at Texas (Chancellor is backing the Coach), and Jimbo stays at FSU. Based on what I've been told this has been a truly strange situation all the way around. Not sure how this is going to reflect on LSU once everything is in the open.

Pretty sure Jimbo will be the guy, but I'll enjoy the melt if it's O.

Melt will rival the five for five?

What about 21-0? I wasn't here for that one, but I heard it was legendary and included admins

The AD should be fired yesterday. He continues to be an embarrassment. How can you fire your head coach in the first part of the season to keep the interim guy?

Watching the coaching changes board has been entertaining to say the least. The latest is that Jimbo kept changing the deal every time LSU would say ok until they gave up and walked away. O has promised to bring in Kiffin as OC if interim tag is removed and Aleva has given Herman a take it or leave it offer. The fan base is divided right down the middle with half being happy it's O and the other half saying we fired Les for this?? It's hilarious and sad at the same time. Aleva should be the odd man out here for fricking up yet another coach search.

There's no way Strong remains at Texas. Three losing seasons in a row. He might not make it to midnight.

The problem with this is Kiffin will likely be the head coach at Houston next year, when Herman leaves.

No way Kiffin takes the Head Coach job at Houston... his ego wouldn't allow it.

I'm assuming Herman is only willing to stay at Houston, because Strong will still be at Texas.
Why else would anyone stay at a group of 5 school? If he stays at Houston and has another 9-3 or worse year, his star's shine will start to diminish.

Strong has to be gone. Three consecutive losing seasons at Texas. One bowl.
