They carry themselves and play with a level of swagger that I don't remember a lot of before. Maybe it is just because the offense does it now too, but man, our guys act like they know they are great and they know you can't stop them. And if somebody tries to get up in them and talk they have no reservations about giving it right back to them.

They aren't overly yappy or cocky, but in certain situations where they feel like it's time to show the world something they have no qualms about making plays and having swag about it.

I fvckin love it.

Most of the time, teams take on the persona of the QB.
Thanks is quite humble, and I think the rest of the team is too.
But, basically all good guys all around.

Agreed, I think Kobe's statement in pre season about "making his opponents regret their decision to play the game" has really rubbed off on this team.

LSU fans don’t realize it, but I think they always get our best shot because their fans and players talk the loudest about being on our level. You don’t hear it from A&M or Auburn. Every year LSU players run their mouth before this game and I can assure you it pisses our players off and gives them a little extra motivation to prepare. It gives them a little extra motivation during the game. When someone flat out says they’re going to do this or that, they’re not scared of you, they’re going to win the game, then you make it a point not only to prove them wrong- but to make them regret they said it. That’s human nature, particularly with ultra competitive athletes. They don’t have the personnel to incite our full wrath, but they do it every year anyway because that’s the Louisiana culture.

They are an emotional group that puts a lot of stock into shite like “swag.” Unfortunately for them, our group takes on the personality of our head coach as well, and he’s one of the most competitive people on the planet. To insinuate that they are on our level after all that we’ve accomplished through hard work pisses our guys off and it shows. It shows during the game and it shows after the game. They let the tweets fly after this one and always play more physical than LSU. When our cornerbacks are hitting their running backs in the teeth, it’s a culture thing. Greedy Williams ran away from contact Saturday night. Grant Delpit ran away from contact Saturday night. Marlon Humphrey doesn’t shy away from Leonard Fournette. Shyheim Carter doesn’t shy away from Nick Brossette. Our kids are out for blood in this game and the LSU players can not match that intensity. Greedy Williams was scared as shite Saturday night. Henry Ruggs pancakes him, and the next time Jeudy caught a ball on him he barely even chased him because he was worried about getting his head knocked off. They love to talk about how good they are, and our guys just go out there and shut them up. It’s basically like when Deontay Wilder met that internet troll from twitter and pummeled his face in. Talk is cheap, but it can have serious consequences.

It’s why their “punch dem in da mouf” rhetoric for the last two weeks was so amusing to me. By the end of these last few games with LSU, their guys are just ready to get on the bus because they are tired of getting punched in the mouth. It is a relentless barrage of haymakers and they always tap out

I hate it but Auburn truly believes that when they walk on the field with us they are our equals. It's not a show, they generally have a sincere confidence.

LSU does not. They try their best to convince themselves, but they know.

I think it’s the “everybody eats” factor that our boy John Doe talks about. Every single skill position player is making plays so they can all jaw at the guy’s trying to stop them

I think this team has the mindset of wanting to prove themselves worthy every game they play; there's no room for being cocky because once you become cocky, you lose power and are more likely to fall.

If we could ever get a steak going on them, we'd knock that out of them.

This is what Gary meant when he said this Alabama has an arrogance about them like the FSU’s, Miami’s, and USCs of the past that all the Bammers on Finebaum were crying about

Don't know what Kool Aid is pumped into Awbarn players before our game, they almost always seem to be more motivated than our players. This enables them to win a game they are not supposed to win, like last year.
This is the only thing keeping them relevant during the Saban era apart from buying a few top prospects.

I think another thing that has a factor in the LSU game is the fact that CNS used to coach there. I think that game means a little more to him (although he would never admit it). I liken it to the Bear Bryant days. He owned Auburn, but Tennessee was always his big rivalry and according to players Tennessee week was 100% focus.

I bet players could give us some perspective on how CNS is the 2 weeks leading up to LSU, if they notice a difference. We all know what they tell the media, but I would like to know what is said and how prep is behind closed doors.

Under the Dye regime the barn players were told how little Alabama thought of auburn ...period. They're second class players compared to Bama's ...so they're told. JMO but Nick has failed to bring that same emotion to his team when going to lee county. Nick's statement on the radio regarding "hope we kick azz" was a great move to add a little more fire to his team. You can't depend on emotion every week but for a couple of games adding a little juice to Nick's bidness approach might serve them well.

Last year was our chance to finally go ahead in the series since Bryant retired. Some Alabama fans claim the Auburn game is no more important than any other game on the schedule. It's damn sure important to Auburn.

I think Saban's stubborn reluctance to start Tagovailoa by the Auburn game last year is one of his few bad decisions.

As much individual talent as there is on the team, they seem to play for each other too. I'd like to think that seed was planted with how the 2 QBs handled their situation.

hmm. Not sure this is a great attitude. Pretty sure Saban won't be entirely happy about it.
