Grant at No.3? He missed 4 of 5 free throws that could have brought us back into the game. That negated a strength we have, ability to elevate our FT shooting at critical junctures in games.

Was Reed injured tonight or was there some other reason? Never heard anything official.

The best player today is Holloway. I had a very difficult time ranking the remaining players.

Frankly I think our main problem tonight was we came out like a team who hasn't lost since November and expected to win and win easily just by showing up. With our size and length we should have physically dominated what is probably the smallest team we'll play all year. To me this was all on effort and attitude. I can stomach any loss if we played our asses off. Not losing like this.

I’ll give you that. It was an all around shite show but when Grant missed those FTs which included two 1 and ones, I felt the game was lost.

Completely agree. #5 FL down 16 at home to Mizzou, so weird stuff happens in CBB.

I think we’ll play well at KY, not sure if it will be enough though. But we don’t matchup well against physical defenses that can “body up” Mark, Philon, Holloway, and Youngblood. We’re not a post team, so everything works off the guards getting penetration and a team that can keep us out of the lane consistently while playing physical knocks us off our game (and consistently getting harassed tends to impact your shooting rhythm even when you do finally get an open shot).

Chris Youngblood 3PT % his last 3 years:

24: 42%
23: 40%
22: 40%

This year…..28%

Meanwhile Auburns got a guy who has shot low 30% from 3 his whole career shooting 44%.

Some teams have all the Luck

We've got a lot of excuses and not much else. These are games a good/great team shouldn't lose. Hopefully we can get it together before the tourney because if Bama keeps playing like this we'll be out quick.

Who the frick is Reed? This is the second person that has mentioned REED. we don’t have one player named Reed. We have a Reid who was out with an injury. Jeez - learn the names or stop posting.

Neat. I didn't know Reed's mom posted here. Welcome to the board!

What is Reid’s injury? And he’s already listed as out for Saturday or is this a mistake?

Oats has lost the team. Fire the entire team and coaching staff. Where is the sarcasm button on this app Chicken man. Our O looked like the FB team vs OK and UM this past season.

We score 52 in a half vs TAMU and only score 64 the entire OM game.

Lingering right foot injury. He’s probably questionable for UK as of now.

The SEC is a really tough league this year and if you're having an off night, you lose. That happened tonight. Don't get too worked up about it. It will happen again.

Undisclosed could be disciplinary and not injury related.

And I hope our team uses that time wisely. That we grow as a team, learn to play as a team.

We're good enough to beat average teams doing 1 of the 3

Shoot the ball well
Attack the offensive glass
Take care of the basketball

If we do 2-3 we're good enough to beat anyone

If we do 3-3 we will beat anyone.

We were 0-3 last night and lost a 10 point game to a good basketball team.

The turnovers aren't my biggest concern right now. Yea, last night was ugly and we have a propensity to do that from time to time, but those silly mistakes can be eliminated if the guys are locked in and focused. Houston plays similar defense and we "only" turned it over 15 times, but that was a marquee matchup.

Our 3 point shooting percentage is concerning. When you aren't making them, it is absolutely imperative to get second chance points, and nights like last night are going to happen on the offensive glass. It's certainly a skill, but like creating turnovers in football there are some variables that go into offensive rebounding. A team that wants to shoot 40+ 3's per game needs to be good at making them. We aren't right now. The Wrightsell loss seems like it is bigger than I anticipated it being.
