Right. But only in a world where there isn’t payroll considerations. I have my doubts his level of compensation is best spent at WR. Whereas I assume Singleton cost half as much and could give us better slot depth though I imagine he’d play some flanker.

I’m not sure about that.

Here's the thing with this line of thought.

You can spend 3 million on a legitimate top 10 pick at WR, or go get two Wilkin Formby level tackles for 3 million.

We should have plenty of money in the treasure chest. Proctor, Russaw, Smith, Horton, Domani, Simpson, Brailsford...all had to be among our highest earners and they're gone.

We have 4 receivers on the roster that have caught a pass. It's absolutely a position of need, and the best player in the portal is a WR. I'd like to think we are operating with a "roster budget" and not a "portal budget"

Right now the operating expenses are way down, it should allow us to spend big on the best player in the portal at a position of need.

Spend all the money on veteran linemen. Supplement with 5 star HS skill players.

Our staff if nothing else seems to very diligent in they want and offer. Any kids I believe that has visited has committed to us. Not saying Coleman will but also any kid that had no real interest has not visited or cancel his visit so far. Meaning I think the staff have made it very clear up front to players in the portal what we are offering. If it does not make us a contender no need to come. The fact Coleman is visiting tells me he knows what we are willing to offer, which most of us think is lesser than the Texas schools but he still is coming so I believe has is serious about playing at UA. Again, we will see but feel we have a good shot.

Agree with this to the moon. Desperately need quality defensive linemen that can either start immediately or play a lot of snaps from day one.

Not panicked but I see most of the good linemen in the portal being snatched up. I know Bama was/is never gonna get them all but I have to wonder if Courtney Morgan is incompetent.

SDSU is a solid program in a relatively competitive league. Would be a solid pick up

I think people need to come to grips with the fact that it’s a new world and we don’t get whoever we want anymore.

Only need two down linemen for the 2-5-4 defense.

Pretty sure I've seen a 1-4-6 defense from Golding before.

Feel like that formation is heavy on DBs.

I look forward to our 2-4-5 base defense and 14 personnel base offense.

It's pure chaos. Causes havoc.
Especially with the 15-yard cushion technique.
