This thread smells like mothballs

Cute! Guessing you must still be college or fresh out of school.
I grew up watching Coach Bryant prowl the sidelines and my first true recollections of the TIDE was the GOALLINE STAND!
So how about not being disrespectful towards us old timers that might be reminiscing. Stay classy too, how about it?

Yall we wont be getting Wilson. Do you know how much it will cost to get him? An elite pass rusher. Lets just not strees ourselves over it.

Again, I don’t think we get Pierre AND Wilson.

But I doubt the cost to hold onto Pierre is much different than it would be to get Wilson if Pierre is off to the NFL.

And it certainly won’t be as high as the cost to our defensive ceiling if we had to go into next season without Overton, Russaw and Pierre from an edge pressure standpoint without any proven replacements and not knowing what’s up with Latham.

Pierre put out some good tape for the NFL but it wasonly for a partial year. If he can continue for another full year (maybe even improve a little) he looks to be a 1st rounder. It would be in his best interrest to stay.

Needs to work on his physical development. But he has a nose for the football. Really high potential i think.

I've just been disappointed by Sabb. I still like him. But I thought he was gonna be a major playmaker and he just kinda hasn't been? In moments he's shined but most of the time he just isn't doing much.

We were in the lead for him before Deion sold his toes for him.

Doubt we go shopping with Carroll and Haywood in the fold, but if there were a way to slide one of them inside for a year that would solve every oline problem we have besides coaching.

It was Bobby Jackson who was the primary QB in 1958. Trammel and Bobby Skelton in 1959, then primarily Skelton, then Trammel in 1960. Then Trammel in 1961.

Richardson (59-61) and Dyess (57-59) were teammates in 1959 with similar stats as both were runners and receivers, with Dyess catching more balls. Dyess was 5’6 150, Richardson 5’10” 168.

Sabb is an average player but I think his experience can be valuable

We're keeping Sabb because we want to land his two younger brothers.

I just don't see Seaton as an option for Alabama. He is likely looking for ahigh visability LT spot and good money to launch him for the NFL draft. Neither he or Haywood would be open to sliding inside.

If Alabama pushes Carroll/Lloyde in to guard, they are likely to look for a portal exit ASAP. Then the OL staffing issues continue into another year of portal unease.

Lloyd ain’t on the field right now. He would probably play OG.

On a side note, I don’t see how this is remotely sustainable for a lot of FBS programs right now. The vast majority of programs don’t have the rich base or one that cares enough about athletics

People are excited about the Cinderellas like Indiana and Ole Miss and think it means parity as a whole. But so many other small name teams are getting gutted right now. Probably the majority I’d say every year are losing any remotely talented player

I thought Carroll projected as a guard at the next level?
