No Swag Where'd it go? Where are the alphas? Name one player on this team that could "buck up" to McClain, Collins, Barron, etc. I still see Diggs getting dragged 8 yards for a 1st down against LSU. Where are the head hunters? Are we just not recruiting these guys anymore? Are we missing out of them? Is it a coaching philosophy that changed? What happened to making his arse quit? Where is Barrett Jones and McCarron going at it in the 4th quarter of the BCS title game up 28 points because they demanded perfection the entire game? Where the hell did Alabama football go?

We honesty missed on a few of them.. Dean, Thibs, To’oto’o, walker being just a few of the many. We are getting great players just not the top of our board and when we do they transfer out. We need Webb bad

Saban is an excellent recruiter, maybe the best ever, but his in-game coaching is far from the best.

So we fire Saban. Then what? Who are you going to hire? When that guy goes 8-4 and 7-5 and you fire him, then what? That's when you go back to the dark ages of Bama football. 12 straight 10 win seasons. 10 out of 12 seasons were 11 wins. The guy has won more titles than he's lost home games. He had what? 6 or 7 straight #1 recruiting classes? This will be the first playoff we've missed in its existence. We've been ranked #1 at some point during the season for the past 12 years. Like I said, anyone who says it's time to move on from Saban is a fricking idiot. It will take multiple losing seasons or program anarchy to call for his removal. Most of you don't understand how hard it is to win a title but here ya'll are saying to fire the man who has won the most of them. Outside of Clemson who has won multiple titles recently? You guys need to wake up and realize what we have.

That's all because they are in a suck arse conference. No SEC team can do what Clemson does because they will lose multiple conference games.

I dunno, they kicked the shite out of us last January.

For perspective, I have been watching Bama football since the late 60's, so I've experienced ebbs and tides. As a Bama student I endured a 5-6 year my freshman year. I see a team that is undisciplined (13 penalties today makes it pretty much impossible to deny). I see a team whose kickers are a disaster and have been FOR YEARS. I see a head coach who was CLUELESS in the final minutes of the game tonight. Look, I love Saban and appreciate what he has done at Bama, but everyone's time ends eventually.

And you think that time is now? With all that you listed, all of the negatives he still took this team to a 10-2 record. I agree the defense woes started about mid season last year. So a year and a half of struggles. A year and half is all it took for you to lose support. All the accolades I listed in my previous post doesn't mean nothing because of a year and half? We're 3 years removed from when Saban made one of the gutsiest calls by pulling a 24-2 starter for the back up in the title game. The man was a genius for that supposedly. Everyone said just more proof that he is the GOAT. But now after a bad year and half it's time to go. Nah. I'm not buying that.

Alabama will never lose my support, but I've watched seven head coaches at Bama and I realize when it's time for a change. You mentioned the number one recruiting classes Saban has had, and you're right; but it seems that with that level of recruiting success a decent coach would beat this Auburn team - especially without their biggest deep threat on offense. Bama should not be losing to this Auburn team. Period.

This Auburn team was crap. Even with the loss due to injuries, there was no reason for that game to play out the way it did.

We just lost to Bo Nix. Bo fricking Nix.

Saban has proven he can’t beat an Auburn team with a pulse, especially at Jordan-Hare.

A blind dipshit could have coached this team to 8-9 wins with the pathetic schedule we had.

My LSU buddies are already saying the flip is in.. I damn sure hope not. We need ILB.. and if we lose him to.. that would be 3 years in a row. We would have a huge hole there

My thing is, Dabo should be the #1 target to replace Saban. You have to have a viable succession plan, and the longer you wait to get Dabo, the harder it will be to get him to uproot and move back home.

If that's not a solution, that's fine. And for the record, I don't think we should just fire CNS but we do need to have conversations about succession planning. The only other option are major question marks, and I don't want to stomach another era of hoping and wishing for a competent coach.

This board, after each of those misses last cycle: "nbd, would've been nice, but we don't need him." This board, now: "We've missed on some key recruits and it's caught up to us and led to some major issues." This board, on any big recruits we get beat out for this cycle: "nbd, would've been nice, but we don't need him." Zero cognitive dissonance at any point.

Nah. If you're recruiting and signing the best you will have early defections to the NFL.

Thats the problem when you sign 5 stars and focus on HS stars that assume they are headed to the NFL even before they hit the college campus.

We got guys like Wills and Leatherwood projected to be 1st round draft picks come spring and I am not sure I would start them over anyone on the 2012 OL.

I want guys that are hungry and play mean with a chip on their shoulder. Not some HS kid that had his hand held all through HS and the first time he gets yelled at here he jumps in the portal.

I would take a J Fowler over most of the RBs on the current roster not named Najee. I miss the days of having 3 stars like Chance and Smelley that brought their lunchbox to work everyday, laced them up, and left everything on the field. Now we have to court their GFs, add waterfalls, and kiss their arse to recruit them.

So you're suggesting that we contact a coach, that currently has his team competing at the top, about replacing our coach, who has his team competing at the top, and you see nothing wrong with that? Serious question.

If recruiting starts to slip even more than it has defensively we’re in deep dookie.
