Then we could add players in the spring portal window. Remember that we added Amos, Key and Buchner after spring practice last year.

Yeah this is just an update for now as you are correct, players will come and go out the spring window.

Just staying abreast of where we are currently as I am interested to see where we end up in relation to the 85 after our 30 day window closes.

Hopefully no one leaves. As a side note, BOL is loaded with trolls. on3 loves them, too.

Looks like Harbaugh to the Chargers is a done deal.

I think the many, that includes me, weren’t expecting it to take this long for Harbaugh to move.

You're referring to Khalil Jacobs, right?

Ahh, okay. I was just watching some of his film and I'm curious where he slots in personnel wise based on the guys already on the roster.

Some people were talking about him at the Husky spot, which is hybrid LB/S. I think that's based solely off his weight though.

I thought Moore was going to man the Husky spot? So then Moore would shift to Rover (SS)?

He might be a rotation guy. He is supposedly a great special teams guy also.

I think there is a chance Moore becomes the Rover who will sometimes take deep half coverage. The defense is sorta single-high shell base but they do play a fair amount of quarters and cover 2. So Moore’s athleticism may be better served playing Rover and have a heartier thumper at the “Husky” spot.

Gotta remember that Moore’s star spot in Saban’s defense was more “CB/S” hybrid where the “Husky” safety is more “LB/S” hybrid.

For those still on suicide watch….

Chase Goodbread post on X

“Make of it what you will, just facts here:
28 portal exits for Alabama thus far.
18 before Saban retirement, 10 after.
Rose Bowl two-deep listed 4 as starters, 7 as twos, 17 not on the chart”

This does not take into account UW transfers C Brailsford , WR Bernard and potentially others. Ryan Williams is still possible. It hurt to lose Downs, Proctor, Bond and other contributors but the sky is not falling.

DeBoer & Co. have been on the road visiting high schools and building relationships. We gonna be fine.

ETA: Hell, I forgot Austin Mack.
