This is my thought lm what I think happened.

Jimbo crossed the line with one of the recruits that pissed off Saban so bad that he went on a rant.

Saban made a mistake naming TAMU. He could've done it indirectly or be vague, but he blew the lid open and I think he did it on purpose.  He is meticulous person. Everything he does or says is calculated.  He knew what he was doing.

He brought this attention to the booster and told them to step their game up. Match TAMU's energy with NIL.  I believe there will be shift in momentum  heading Alabama soon in that area.

He put the spotlight on Jimbo, so he's gonna feel the heat from now to the Oct game.   What Saban did was ruthless and wrong, but he got his point across and Jimbo played onto Saban's hand by that terrible press conference . All he had to do was keep quiet and he would've been okay.

To those who keeps saying Saban won't pay HS NIL money... I agree with that but he's going to get creative.  He could set up a NIL deal that's going to be based on performance and milestones etc. Something similar to rhat.

Now TAMU, what they're doing right now is good for football. If they lose more than 2 games this fall..... their momentum will be gone.
If half of the kids transfer in December, I expect Alabama to go after them hard.

Either way, both team are on a mission this fall. One is for revenge. One  is to prove they can develop and win. I think you can figure out.

Also, if you read other coaches comments regarding Saban and Fisher, you'll find most agree with Saban but won't say it outright.

Outside of the Saban, Jimbo, etc topic, the NIL situation might be improved by not allowing NIL deals in a player's first year at a program.

Not sure if I would be on board with extending it to transfers, but I fully support the idea of not allowing players to sign NIL deals until the end of their freshman seasons. Like you said, there'd still be stuff done under the table, but it would have a chilling effect on boosters using NIL to recruit. They aren't going to shell out $200,000 for a 5* after he has sat on the bench his whole freshman season.

I mean I think he should apologize about the Deion thing because at this point it's not even been close to proven and most say it wasn't really true.

I mean Barstool people have been joking about paying Hunter on twitter and podcasts for months now?

Also it just defies logic to say a recruit that could have punched his ticket to any school in america is going to go somewhere that can't even afford to maintain a practice field without taking a fat paycheck to do so...

A CB swinging from a back ped to a cross over on a field like that could easily blow an ACL...

People make choices every day that do not consider "little things" that can change the vector of your life in a heart beat.

Jimbo Fisher claims only one early enrollee already has NIL deal (On3)

Hey Jimbo, (if true) it only proves others haven't yet received any NIL funds they were promised by the Collective for signing with A&M.

Attended a REC Meeting last night. After the TE Coach spoke to our group, a speaker from High Tide Traditions got up and addressed the crowd... took a few questions... Very young guy, but super nice and personable. He all but passed the offering plate around the crowd. Said they want to establish a "base line for athletes" (mainly football players of course). Apparently, some big shot lawyer from Phenix City owns the company and is buddies with Saban... It's unofficial, but the University is pushing for folks to go through HTT for NIL. I felt slimy leaving, but like the young man said, "you may not like this, but I bet you like winning".

So, we already professional football. Schools need huge dollars to even maintain their roster. Might as well just have an auction and let schools bid on the players. Or just get all the schools to just shut it down for a year, and let the guys go get their NIL money on their own. See you really cares about the high school player's NI and likeness.

Not to concerned with it as long as Saban is here.

When talking about NIL one thing stands out from Saban that I have yet to hear other coaches talk about. Other programs brag about their collectives and this or that but Saban continues to talk about the players getting agents/representation for NIL. UA is setting this up right and will pay off long term for this in my opinion.

I have already heard a story about a kid with no representation signed a deal for NIL that prevents him from with anyone else while at his current program and with little chance to increase the amount he is earning. More and more kids will get screwed and it will not look good for those program where UA is setting these kids up and it will becomes an easy transition for the ones going pro.
