Yeah, we don't suck. We just aren't as good as we should be under a 4th year coach.

suck, mediocre, either way this has to be one of the most inept offensive teams i've ever seen. it was just painful to watch these kids try to run whatever offense it is that we run.

I think it's all about your perspective. To me:

Great teams: beat pretty much everyone.
Good teams: beat everyone they should beat, win a lot of their tossups, and win 1 or 2 against great teams.
Mediocre teams: beat everyone they should, win a few tossups, and lose to everyone they should.
Bad teams: lose to teams they should beat, win a few tossups, and lose to everyone they should.
Dumpster fires: lose to pretty much everyone.

IMO we are somewhere between mediocre and bad.

I think making the NIT automatically ensures you're mediocre status. Nothing more, nothing less.

I just don't know man. I really don't think you can definitively say what we are. Playing 18 SEC games, 15 of which were against non-NCAAT teams, doesn't give you a great idea of where the program is. Being above average against shite competition just makes you one of the shiniest turds in the pile. We can't keep losing games to teams like Auburn and we need to start actually pulling off games like UF (both regular season and SECT) and Cincy if we want to escape the deadly cycle of being a perpetual bubble team who leaves their fate in the hands of the committee.

Well we have to beat a team that's better than us. I can't remember a game in Grant's tenure where we pulled a big upset. The two times we've beaten UK, they've been down. Other than those wins, no game stands out. We will forever be mediocre unless you find ways to win games against better competition. Our offense is holding us back just like it holds Georgetown back in the NCAA tournament. Our style of play allows us to hang with most everyone, but it allows everyone to hang with us as well. When you aren't a good closing team, you lose lots of games like we have this year.

Haha he just needs to quit being soo nice to out players. I know its hard to pull players when you dont have the number on the bench but damn. Would love to see how we wouldve been with Tony Mitchell and The Big Swede.

He kicked Mitchell off the team permanently despite the obvious protests from the rest of the players. Not sure how that is being nice. Tony just being Tony would have negated any positive impact from his contributions anyway.

I am officially on the Fire Grant train now. I will not root against the team or hope that we lose any games, but the more games we win the longer CAG will stay. It's obvious that the players do not like to play for him and he doesn't do much to promote the program.

Not sure where we should or would look to replace him, but I believe it would be in our best interest in the long run. It sucks because I really wanted CAG to be the man to take us to the next level, but I honestly just don't see it happening.

Roll Tide to you guys itt, because this sucks for y'all just as much as it does me.

I'm going to hold out and see how this upcoming season pans out, then evaluate.

Guy gets paid 1.5 mill a year to continue running this clown show, must be nice.

Still in this boat. Trevor Lacey was my least favorite player at the end of the season. We will certainly miss his shooting, even as inconsistent as it was, but I won't miss the laziness and constant size-up BS.

I was worried about him transferring before the season ended, but I thought the "Final Four" comment ended that worry. Who guarantees that kind of thing and leaves?

This is like when you have one of those girlfriends that was hot when you met her. But, she's steadily gained weight for 4 years and you argue more than you get along. Her diet plans never work and you don't have a lot of hope of ever loving each other again. Yet, you hang on anyway. What's the point? She ain't changing.
