Either would be fine by me. Both guys know what they'd be getting into here and I think they'd give us some stability. Unlikely to move on after just one or even two years. Saban filled up the staff with recruiters that really didn't have connections last year. The result seems to have been a lot of staff tension this year.

Take it for what it's worth- rivals poster cliffs
- Tosh moving because he's not ready to be a DC
- Saban helped find the Browns job and wanted to protect Tosh from an out and out firing
- he sold Tosh on the Browns job to get NFL experience and diversify his resume, and Tosh thinks it will help his career more than going to be a position coach/recruiter at another school
- making a serious run at Jimmy Lake from UW. Lake is a proven DC and his west coast ties fit for recruiting
- Golding would get an associate head coach title tacked on
- Saban thinks Golding is a defensive wizard and loves his mind
- Butch will coach RBs, Taylor WR, Pannunzio off field role

If Josh Gattis can become an OC, Tosh will be a DC again at a big name school. I could see Tosh resurfacing at USC in 2020.

When people were wondering why Saban would rehire Sark after he left for the NFL after just one game all I could think was, "Seems like he's hired Lance Thompson multiple times and that guy's a snake."
