Locker was a bad fit for Sark's offense, and Sark couldn't teach him how to be a better QB. His athleticism was off the charts, but his mechanics were still putrid after he left UW.

I dunno...he taught him well enough to be a first round pick...and apparently the NFL coaches couldn't teach him any better either so maybe Sark got the most out of him...

Some rumblings on BOL that Freddie Roach might be a candidate, perhaps DL coach.

Lance Taylor - WRs
William Vlachos - OL
Freddie Roach - DL

Oh, lord.

That was his freshman year. Look at the other years stats. I mentioned Locker anyway as the only one even close to an RPO guy.

Vlachos is probably 3rd on my list after Stoutland and Silverfield, but that would be interesting.

In Sarks defense Locker’s mechanics didnt really get better while in the NFL either.

Golding isn’t expected to go anywhere. Clearing it up in case there is some rumor stating otherwise. Lot of coaches think very highly of him. He for sure had opportunities, and it is coaching, but he’s expected to be around. -- Watts

Boz confirmed through silence that Golding is well thought of internally, hopefully he gets moved to a position he is more comfortable coaching than ILB's.

I want to believe in Golding, but his LBs were lost all season.

Remember how bad the LB's got burned in game one by Louisville on the wheel route ? Like they had never covered, or even heard of a RB going out for a pass.

they got burned all season long. I'm willing to give Golding a chance. Tosh too, but if he has to move on, let him go... Freddie Roach hmm.. how many rumors have we heard in the last few days regarding positions?

He is a Db coach by position, I'm willing to understand some trouble transitioning to a totally different position, especially when he was also helping Tosh on the game planning side.

Yeah, I was reading his bio and the only position he's ever coached, prior to Bama, is DBs...and he seems to have excelled working with that position group...

This is what Dabo has done and I would imagine it has a lot to do with the ridiculous staff continuity he has benefitted from. Aside from Venables I believe his entire staff is from South Carolina, played at Clemson, and/or played for or with Dabo at Alabama.

Lance Taylor is a proven solid college position coach/recruiter.

What is Freddie's reputation as a DL coach and recruiter? I have no clue?

Do we know anything about Vlachos other than we liked him as a player and he's thr NFL equivalent of a graduate assistant?
