Why would Steele go from DC at Auburn to a co DC role at Bama with Tosh and will Tosh stick around if that’s the plan?

Always thought Saban would retire at 70, so two more seasons at Bama.

He will have a incredible offense next year and a elite defense in 2020.

Get two more SEC titles and one more Natty.

Is Coach Kool going to stay or leave?

Would like to get Todd Bates from Clemson if he leaves

Nick is gonna get that record at least. He will go out on top for sure.

Why do people want Bates? Just curious. Didn’t know if we were giving him credit for those stud D lineman he inherited.

#1 insider on BOL: "Only one person (Saban) really knows what is going on in coaching searches at Bama. Anyone expecting anyone else to have a full picture of the situation is asking too much. It's best that everyone just let the situation play out before getting worked up."

Will Lashley win the starting LT job or does Neal grab it?

I was thinking Leatherwood would move to LT...he did very well when he replaced Jonah in the CFPCG against UGA...

Wouldn't it be funny if Saban pulled the wool over everybody's eyes and brought Kiffin back as OC?

I would be completely fine if that happened.

He gets the bump due to association. I think I'd prefer getting Bo over Bates, both seem overrated due to the Dline they were associated with, but Bo is a Saban guy and hopefully would bring stability.

Have to wonder if Long was once again uncomfortable with shared playcalling/gameplanning as he was last year with locks.

That's exactly it. He's a Bama guy, so people make the easy connection.

Again, he's a guy who got demoted coming into the season and had a DL that he completely inherited.

I think Saban probably does like him pretty well. But I think he feels even better about what Sark brings to the party -- acumen, coaching and teaching, game planning, play calling, recruiting, work ethic, HC experience, well-organized, etc. And Sark already knows Bama and Saban well. Smooth transition; he can hit the ground running. The more I think about it, the more I like this hire.

It doesn’t hurt that Sark apparently has a good relationship with Tua already and probably little Tua too.

Steele sucked arse at LSU but he’s done a good job at Auburn. I wouldn’t mind him coming back but like others, what does that mean for Tosh? I think Steele has learned a lot and without him, Auburn 2018 crashes and burns and Gus gets fired. So strike a blow at Auburn with Steele and Clemson with Bates.
