Probably because Ole Miss bumped his contract from 2 to 3 years and his salary from $325k to $500k. For that money, Bama can hire a great veteran DL coach, like Kuligowski. So, I doubt Bama offered to match that deal for Freddie.

Bo Davis, Chris Rumph, and Karl Dunbar all made less than 500k a year on their Bama contracts.
500k is a steal for Freddie Roach...the boxing trainer.

Ole Miss is paying Freddie Roach 500K? A coach with less than five years experience coaching? Period. They’re barely paying Matt Luke 3 million.

Roach had off-field positions at Bama. How long has he been an on field coach? How long has he coached DL?

Between his 2 stints at Bama, he was DE/OLB coach at EMCC, Murray State, and South Alabama.

I heard that it was Sal didn't want Vinnie on special teams duty and that's what he got hurt doing iirc.

Actually, it was a combination of the two. I forgot all about the special teams gig.

for us old timers Archie Bunker used to get big words all screwed up. He used the word imbagence sometimes when talking about ignorant people or when talking about impotence.

Enough already! We ain’t getting any younger! Hire the damn DL coach and let’s get on with it!
I understand that young feller Billy Neighbors was a pretty good DL. Wonder if he can coach or is he still too wet behind the ears?

i'm curious. why on earth would you even consider someone that you ask, "is he still to wet behind the ears"?
seriously, why?
