Maybe there just aren't any great OLs. It is one of those positions that you rarely notice on other teams unless you watch them a whole lot.
Oklahoma's seems to be pretty good. State's was pretty good. I don't really know much about any other units. I know Notre Dame has 2 NFL guys on theirs, but their results against Miami and Georgia were pretty bad.

15 was a weird year in that we could dominate on the ground at times, but also we were almost the worst team in the country in terms of plays for loss

That was largely due to Kiffin's bullshite east/west offense. But, that line didn't deserve any awards either.
*Edit* Wait, I'm getting old. I was thinking '15 was last year. I don't remember too much about the '15 line.

I can see why we won it in '15...had one All-American and the Rimington award winner and a future All-American and Outland trophy winner. That was an awesome run blocking line and was pretty good in pass protection...can't see us even being in the running this year...
