i think next years offense will be a step back from the last 2 years. but at the same time, it will help our defense tremendously.

Think that's a bit overboard. It also assumes all the juniors are leaving. If Dickerson and one of Wills/Leatherwood come back our OL will be very good again.

We'll have a lot of new faces, but we have some talented guys ready to step in and I think at the very least we found out we have a serviceable QB to go along with the freshman phenom.

Nothing is guaranteed, but the potential is there to be a solid offense. We aren't going to be 2017-2018, but we can definitely be solid.

I have to think, based on Saban’s resume, that Mac Jones will be the starter week 1. Whether or not he keeps the job will be interesting. I do think that Mac can be a pretty good QB.

Receivers: Waddle, Metchie, Bolden, Shavers, and if we get lucky maybe Smith or Ruggs comes back. I doubt we ever see a WR Corp as good as this years, but the 2020 version looks to be pretty damn good as well.

RBs: Sanders, B. Robinson, K. Robinson. Likely another RB by committee, but looks like a solid group

O-Line: Neal, Owens, Brown, T. Brown, Lashley. Solid group with plenty of experience, maybe not as talented as some of the past groups though.

TE: Tennison. Not great, hopefully somebody steps up as a second option.

All in all, we should be just fine on offense. I’d say a step back from the past couple years but maybe getting back to the running game a little more will be a good thing.

Billingsley at tight end has a bright future. Interested to see what Latu does as well. We also have to get a couple more wide receiver recruits. It will be critical.

Good as long as one of our stud tackles comes back.

We have Bryce or Taulia (Lol bye Mac) and we're going to have great young RBs. We have a stud WR and some other playmakers will rise to the top.

Our offense wasn't the problem. We scored over 40 points in each loss and that was with our QBs making horrible turnovers in each game.

If our defense could kind of hold a shitty Auburn offense or tackle a short LSU RB, we'd be easily undefeated.

Nah.

Mac threw two pick sixs. Saban ain't with that. Taulia or Bryce will take the reigns by the end if August.

Our defense played well enough IMO. They got 12 points from 40+ yard field goals. Field goals that their kicker has been missing the entire year.

They got 14 points off of pick sixes.

Our defense only gave up 350 yards.

It was a team loss. Period.

Based on people that have seen him play.

They were raving about him before he broke his foot.

If you don't believe them fine, but don't act like there is no basis for having that opinion.

Sanders is a stud. There is a reason why Georgia recruited him up until Signing Day.

Yea - based on the combination of his recruiting ranking and what people who are generally reliable said about him in practices I think it's reasonable to expect him to be a good SEC running back.

How good? That's up for debate, but assuming he heals up I think "solid back" is a reasonable expectation.

Last I checked Mac Jones put up 335yd and 4 TDs against Auburn "vaunted" defense. Yeah, the pick 6's suck, but that can be corrected. Plus I"m fairly certain that Taulia was pretty highly rated/recruited. Also there is this guy named Bryce Young that will be on campus come December.

No stud RB
Sanders is the epitome of stud and the Robinson's made plays all year.

No stud TE
Like Boz said 19 looks very promising and having a stud TE isn't a necessity but a luxury.

No stud OL
Um, what? Have you even looked at what is coming back and what we have ready to step up. Don't do drugs.

Waddle and Metchie are going to be stars. Xavier Williams has ton of potential, just has to get better at blocking to get on the field. Not to mention the ballers we have committed/coming in.

I'm not one to throw insults and i'm not going to here, but you didn't think much before posting this did you?

This will be the deepest QB room we've had in the modern era. That isn't really debatable.

The OL is the biggest wildcard with the NFL. If we lose all 3 of Dickerson/Wills/Leatherwood, that's gonna be a real kick to the balls. If we keep Dickerson and can keep 1 of the 2 tackles around then I'll feel pretty good about things. Leatherwood/Wills at one tackle, Neal at the other, Dickerson and Brown on the interior. Then you are down to finding one more guy (one of the young centers I'd guess).

I'm not quite sure why people are so sold on Metchie being an elite, #1 receiver. Maybe it's based on practice reports.

Waddle will be a preseason All-American.

Did you even watch the game last night? The defense was absolutely soft and out of position all night. We let one of the shittiest QB/offenses in the sec run through us all last night. ZERO sacks and gave up basically every third and long we faced. I especially loved the safety blitzes that were obviously not working, but kept being called. Go watch any of our defenses the past 10 years and then tell me that last nights defense played "well enough".

Yea - the offense "only" gave up 350 yards because Auburn kept scoring off turnovers and starting drives at midfield.

That isn't the defenses fault, but they once again put up no fight on the biggest drives of the game. And when they did, they fvcked up and found a way to negate the stops with penalties.

I don't know how anyone can come to the conclusion that the defense "played well" last night.
