I am too. Hopefully the committee is enjoying the shitty product that they put on the field, too.

This. The product is terrible. Last night too. The atmosphere was great but it took about 2 series to figure out IU didn’t belong.

Yep and what happens if Texas wins handily against Clemson this afternoon ? We’re basically watching a playoff system that is giving out participation trophies. Socialism.

I’m sure we’re all looking forward to Booger McFarlands halftime take on SMU making a monumental comeback in the 2nd half. And how they deserve to be here

Ugh I hate that son of a bitch. I hate ESPN even more for promoting him.

They shouldn't have rewarded a mediocre conference with two teams. It's why mid-majors only get their conference tournament champions into the NCAA tournament.
The committee botched this decision big time. We shouldn't have lost to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma, but I'll bet both of those teams would beat SMU.
I'll still say the ACC had some say it telling Clemson to let their foot off the gas to let SMU make a comeback and get two teams in. I hope Sark beats the shite out of Dabo later.

Lost in all the BS is that the FCS playoffs are actually very entertaining
SD St and ND St are tied in the 3rd Q.

I also agree that the ACC championship game was rigged. It was rigged last year too when Louisville could’ve easily beaten Florida State. Our sport is corrupt to core because of money and certain political views.

Glad I'm watching Arsenal instead of SMU lol

Wow, the rant is a bigger cesspool than usual today.
Everyone celebrating a shitty game just because it kept Bama from potentially playing for another trophy.

Hopefully we’re going to see a massive pro-SEC correction in playoff rankings and seedings next season. Media got their make a wish kids this year, let’s play football next post season please.

This sport is being ruined, if not ruined already. There are more and more reasons to care less and less about college football.

I hate they feel that way. As much as I hate being left out it will help DeBoer get his roster set for next year with more time to focus on the portal. And get a quarterback who fits his style of offense.

It started going downhill in 2021 post Covid. There’s got to be a way to fix it. If not it’s going to be obsolete in a few years.

Wow, a thread on this board actually got nuked.
Will the mods actually ban the OP though? Has me wondering what it takes to get banned here if they don't.

Almost all the semifinals were over at the half even in the four team system. There just is too huge of a talent gap in college football to make this work. It can function in basketball because so much of that sport is flukey, just about whether shots are falling that day. In a sport like football, a team that can't compete at the line of scrimmage will never be able to win.
SMU is clearly not ready for this level and many people are going to make this about making fun of them. I don't really think that's the right approach. They're out of their depth, but the comical ineptness is really with ESPN and the playoff committee for living in fantasy land and putting this on the field. SMU had a good season at their level of play. They would be better served with a shot at a lower division championship than in a system where even if they get in, they're just going to get obliterated. 2022 TCU had a magical season and even managed to win a playoff game, but the only thing people remember is 65-7. These teams don't actually benefit from being in these games.
South Dakota State and North Dakota State are in a close, exciting game in front of a full stadium with the FCS championship on the line. I bet most SMU players would rather be in a scenario like that than going back out to get humiliated even more in the second half of this game.

What are you talking about?

I mean the OP of that thread is completely unhinged. Just peak at his post history

I must have missed it.
