I think there are some teams that can beat them. Ga Tech if they play like they did last week.

Love how everyone (mostly LSU fans) whined about Bama getting the nod in 2011 despite not winning its conference... yet Notre Dame got the nod on 2012 despite not even playing in a conference.

Notre Dames 2012 schedule didn’t have a single cupcake 
Ten Power 5 teams and the two G5’s were 8 win BYU and Navy. Close wins across the board but hardly the season to complain about on scheduling
I get they’re independent but most years they don’t play a schedule close to this year. They’re usually closer to 30-40 in strength of schedule at worst
This year is laughable but realistically they’ll get in most years of a 12 team playoff regardless. Just looking at final AP ranking they’re in 7 of the last 10

I didn't complain about their schedule. I said they didn't play in a conference since "not winning your conference" was the argument people tried to use to exclude us in 2011.
