He was as bad as Buchner for much of the game last week. He threw behind Williams out of the backfield on what would have been a touchdown. He flatlined a ball to a wide open Justice on what would have been another touchdown. He stared down receivers and threw two really bad interceptions, all while having an extra year in the system and meaningful playing time last season.

Milroe can't read the defense or check down. At least Ty checked down.

Ty is more cool under pressure and does the little things to win. He ran the only read option of the night.

He is raw and inexperienced, but he is our best guy with the lights on. Going to be a good game manager.

You must be blind. Milroe had 8 TDs... We scored 56 and 24. You're a fool to think he isn't the guy to start. Plus, the team loves him...

He hit Texas defenders in the hand as many times as he had touchdowns that game

USF gave up 41 to Western Kentucky...we scored 14 with Ty (with no passing TD)... And you want a RS freshman to lead this team through the sec??!!! You're crazy.

Milroe can score points but is a turnover machine. He is not a true quarterback.

So, what do people want? A quarterback or a guy who can score at times but will give the ball away . . . a lot.

Our defense was the shite today. They took advantage of the week and played amazingly against a coach/team that can actually score a few points.

A QB that turns it over is a detriment to the overall team - including the defense - by keeping them off the field. Period.

Today I learned that Texas and USF’s defense are basically the same thing

There is and will continue to be a lot of people who are butthurt if Simpson starts over Milroe.

And ability at quarterback isn’t the primary reason.

It’s ugly, really.

We all watched what happened last week. Now, some want to revise history and make excuses.

Lol Milroe’s not that good, but to say he’s worse than what we saw today is moronic. Florida A&M had 374 yards passing against USF’s defense. I have no doubt that Bama would’ve put up twice the numbers on offense had Milroe played. It’s a hard pill to swallow, but Bama is slightly above average right now.

Bull. fricking. shite.

Joe Montana could have played behind that OLine and would have looked the same.

Get out of here that bullshite.

We scored 17 on USF today... A team that gave up 41 to Western Kentucky and 24 to Florida A&M.

I'd rather gamble on the upside with the turnovers than be so scared to be as anemic as we were today against a really bad USF team.

Last week we were actually playing a decent team. Today was FAR worse.

Maybe. And he would have had three turnovers. Is that really what you want? Having the D on the field more like they were against Texas - being gassed at the end? More points given up?

That is just stupid.

No coach will do this. Ever.

Yes. I would rather be able to move the ball at the risk of turnovers than squeak by a USF team that got blown out by Western Kentucky with no turnovers and also no pulse on offense.

You don't know he'd give up 3. That just being dramatic...

And you don’t know he wouldn’t. It is what he does and has always done. You aren’t considering his history.

MTSU is objectively better than USF and Milroe didn’t turn it over against them

I’ll preface this by saying Milroe sucks donkey dick. But at this point I’ve seen little to suggest that he isn’t our best QB (other than Dylan GOATergan of course)

His history and his ability is not what is important to some people in this discussion.

Do you really think that a guy who CANNOT throw a mid-range pass and is a glorified running back was going to score a bunch today? Simpson did not play the whole game, but 14 points were scored while he was in.

Look, sometimes a QB is just a better fit. Jay Barker replaced Danny Woodson and it was mostly handing the ball off, but you know what? He handed the ball off better than Woodson. We started playing better when he came in. Sometimes the difference is imperceptible to fans, but there is a difference. Simpson had us playing better even in the run game.

And... he didn't throw the ball to the other team.
