With all due respect, because I do think he is one of the best coaches in any sport, he is no different than any other celebrity/sports figure/talking head trying to push this. I am tired of being told by these people how to think or what to do, and that includes Nick Saban. Stay in your own lane Coach.

I don't think "stay in your lane" applies here. For better or worse, people in our state elevate football coaches on a pedestal equal to or higher than that of the governor. If Nick wants to use his platform to promote vaccines, more power to him. Not like he is holding you down and putting a shot in your arm.

Not related to the PSA, but didn’t want to start another COVID post so:

SEC Announces Distribution of $23 Million to Each School to Mitigate COVID-19 Impact

Each member institution will receive an additional $23 million to help recover from COVID-19 shortfalls

It so weak and short-sighted when people use this term. Like all you're allowed to do or say is what you're most known for???

So if 21zereaux is an attorney then by his own words he should only talk about slippery floors/wills/etc...But maybe I'd like to have a beer and talk about football with 21zereaux but we can't because we're all supposed to stay in our lane

100% agree. I’m sure he was asked/pushed to do it, but big picture, I’m over this public pressure to go get a shot. It’s available to anyone who feels vulnerable.

Unfortunately, they rejected the PSA piece I wrote for CNS.

Nick Saban: "Hi. I'm Nick Saban. You may know me as the Coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide Football team. As you know, our great country and planet has been fighting one of the greatest pandemics known to man, COVID-19. We must all do our part in this pandemic to ensure infection rates are kept low. Please talk to your health service provider about COVID-19 vaccines. be sure to get both of the shots otherwise you can get both of Deez nuts. God bless."

I'm not sure why folks get so butt hurt over guidance of getting a shot to prevent a virus that has killed 3.5 million people worldwide.

Our leadership should be providing solutions to this problem. One solution is to get folks vaccinated. Therefore, they should beat the drum and find folks with influence to relay that message. CNS is arguably more influential that the Governor.

If you don't like what they say don't listen. It's a PSA.

P.S. What folks should be complaining about is those damn ASPCA commercials. Ain't nobody want to see abused animals with sappy music.

If this board and the past year have taught me anything... it's that the worst part of Nick Saban's job is that many of his constituents in the state of Alabama proudly flash that "50th in education" badge more often than not.

Speak for yourself. I've created a mask for my a-hole so when I fart I don't spread COVID.

We almost didn't have a football season.

This is very much in Saban's lane.

Not to mention the fact that he actually had it.

I'm not even gonna pretend to apologize for saying this: what utter, fricking stupidity. There are all kinds of other PSAs about various other immunizations. You ever bitched about a polio or measles immunization PSA? But one for covid gets sand in your vagina? Get the frick over it. Dumbasses on both sides of this issue politicizing it and it's been pure fricking stupidity.

People that take this "vaccine" haven't done their research... Tried to warn people.. But those of you who take it will just have to learn the hard way...
