But dude ... you're visiting the outskirts of Crazytown
"I ain't gettin no vaccine so Bill Gates can track my movements with 5G" says the dipshit who spends 6 hours a day on Facebook, which has been verifiably proven to data mine cell phones and tracks your location.
This dude isn't on the outskirts of Crazytown. He's the fricking mayor.

I thought the 5g coverage was door prize for getting vaxed. Does it not work? I need to find out if the service is going in uncle sam's tab or do I have to add it to me Verizon plan.

It's Ok to argue that the shutdowns were wrong, highly ineffective, and economically devastating because they were. It's OK to say that in retrospect the tyvex suits were overkill (and hot as hell) because they were. It's OK to say that Faucci talks out both sides of his mouth and doesn't appear to be able to decide if it's raining or someone is pissing on him because that's true too.
What you CANNOT do keep denying that the virus was/is real and was the direct agent that led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. That's absolute truth.
Pretty much nailed it.

FIFY.

Honestly, they (govt) just needs to tell folks that the vaccine will make your dick bigger and increase your sex drive.

For a serious post; I guess here is where I am with COVID-19 vaccines.
Agreement
If we could stop the spread before it mutates. That would be a good thing. Multiple variants makes the task much more challenging. To do that we would need to ensure EVERYONE globally is vaccinated. We aren't doing a good job with that and that's doctors points.
Counter-Point
The COVID-19 vaccine isn't good enough to eradicate the virus and we don't know how long the vaccine will protect us for. 6 months? How will folks KNOW their vaccine has ran it's course and they are exposed. In addition, the virus is already out in the world. Pandora's box is open. It has already mutated at least 3-4 times and will continue to do so.
In my opinion, the closest relation would be the flu. I think this is where we are headed. If you look at the Flu vaccines. We haven't eradicated the Flu, yet. Each vaccine varies every year and it usually covers multiple strains but it takes months to create the vaccine. In fact, according to UAB medicine, the vaccines are identified YEARS in advance. The strains that the 2020-2021 flu vaccine fights against was identified in 2018. In addition, the CDC says flu vaccines are only 40-60% effective.
TL;DR
I commend doctors telling folks to get the vaccines. I understand their logic and they aren't wrong. However, I think until better vaccines roll out, globally, we will always have the risk of variant strains. That doesn't mean doctors should stop trying to get folks to take the vaccine.
In my opinion, COVID-19 is going to be very similar to the flu until we have a vaccine that makes COVID-19 inactive.
