This is what I don’t understand. A receiver’s primary purpose is to get open and catch the ball. I know they have other jobs like blocking and those are important but not as important as catching the ball. If the young guys know the playbook and their checks and routes, PLAY THEM! They might have been game changers by making a play. The veterans sure weren’t making a difference

I literally said don’t start them… but play them more when we are up. Rotate them in… and trust me Bama wants my guys bad. Just as we wanted Dean.. and Bama isn’t the only path to the nfl. Watch UGA after this year on defense. NIL will change a lot of this.. We just need to rotate.. BRob can’t carry it 30 times a game.. and we only play 3 wide outs. It’s troublesome

I was too… he got separation and made a catch.. we know Hall can catch. Just kinda baffled by the rotation there.. Bryce had plenty of time on some
Drop backs and our wrs just quit running. They get no separation outside of Williams

This is the dumbest take I’ve heard in a long time.
BOB had a few bad calls last night but he’s been mostly good.
The Pete experiment may or may not work. We know why Saban hired him. We are trying to change to a more athletic and lean defense. Pete specialize in that type of defense. You guys seem to forget most of the ones complaining now wanted Kirby replaced in his first few seasons too.

We did that like 7 years ago. How long does such a transition take, you think?

We are changing again from the one from 7 years ago. We are attempting to go to a 3-3-5. That’s why the star is almost always on the field.

Just more stuff and nonsense. Accuse Saban of many things but never call him lazy. Nobody works harder and with more dedication at every little thing associated with his job and program than the Goat.
People need to stop with these horrible takes.

You didn't read the post?

Maybe I should've said "easy" choices, but it's basically the same thing. I specifically said that he personally, obviously, is not lazy. His choices were bad. I can still recognize him as the greatest coach ever while at the same time criticize the staffing decisions he made. BoB, Doug, and Pete are not the answer.

The combination of the OL, Najee, and Mac on pass protection was amazing to watch.

at posters saying what other posters "need" to do with their opinions they post on a message board.

It's a message board. You can agree, disagree, whatever. And yeah, some may be pretty stupid.

But it's still just a message board.

And this backs that up
quote:

The line ultimately earned a true pass set blocking grade that ranked 52nd among Power Five teams in Week 6.

Now, Alabama is on pace to allow its worst pressure rate of the PFF College era and the third-worst in the conference.

In this regards to “ Couple that with a defense that is Charmin soft”

quote:

The Tide earned a 46.6 coverage grade as a team upon first review — not only was that the worst mark by an SEC team in Week 6, but that was the worst by an Alabama defense in a single game of the PFF College era by over five grading points.

As mentioned above, Bama has the 3rd worst pressure rate allowed in the SEC. Guess who is still last? Texas A&M. So Bama managed to get zero sacks and very little pressure against the worst pass blocking unit in the SEC.

I think the staff thought some of the true freshmen OL would be ready but apparently they aren’t
