Something interesting I just found out, DeBoar has an extension on his desk for Washington and hasn’t signed it. Maybe he is going to at least interview.

Yuck. No to that square peg in a round hole. Lol

Wasn’t Kiffen, was Joey F. I mean I get it no one wants their wife banging another dude, but why is this all his fault? Did the powers that be blacklist her too? The dude went through a divorce as a successful, younger, and to hear my wife tell it attractive man. Made a mistake and it took two to dance that dance.

Deboer can coach his arse off but there is something to be said about being a cultural fit.

We need someone who can deal with nil and keep the program running. For me that's kirby or kiffin. Since it won't be Kirby it should be Kiffin.

I don't know why people love Kiffin so much, other than he's funny on Twitter. He's a great coordinator, but he's not a great HC. He lacks most of the qualities that it takes to run a consistent, top program.

Because most of us understand what you do not. It’s not easy to get kids to go to Ole Miss. What he’s done with less talent is amazing. He would also be an insane recruiter at Bama.

If he’s good he’d never leave. We can’t say that about Lanning. He may have NFL aspirations.

As much as I still want lanning, Kiffen with t-rob as DC would be dirty.

He’s responsible for like 2 of the 3 best Ole Miss seasons on the past 60 years

Kiffin was the best offensive coordinator Saban had.
He went to FAU and won 10 games and then went to Ole Miss and won 10 games 2 years ago and 11 this year.

He's a very good coach.

I think he's gotten old enough and mature enough that a lot of the issues that would make people wary aren't as big of a concern.

Kiffin is who he is. He's a clown who likes to troll on social media and not take things too seriously. He'$ not getting kid$ to Ole Mi$$ becau$e he'$ a great recruiter. Look at the list of Kiffin's All Time Recruits: LINK

The fact that some of you think he's going to morph into a serious coach who is going to act like an adult is wild to me.

Please point me to the examples of maturity.

He coached a pretty bad game against Michigan, and he came close to a few real duds this season too

So did Saban

I dont think this is as big of a deal as its being made out to be. Nate Oats did just fine here. Deboer is 47 hes a damn good coach. He would be just fine at Bama.

On the one hand, I'm sure people said the same about Saban when LSU hired him. I mean he's from West Virginia and spent his whole career up North or in the NFL to that point. How's he going to relate to Southern kids?

On the other hand, Saban is an exception to most rules of conventional wisdom because he is a generally exceptional person, and Deboer seems very much like a "coach em up" type who would sign a ton of 3*s we talk ourselves into being diamonds in the rough.

Would Greg Byrne go after someone known for offense or defense?

Hiring someone who would try to be Saban might be the single biggest mistake we could make
