Getting Deboer would mean we get likely get Ryan Grubb too,

I bet Grubb gets the head job at UW if DeBoer leaves and

Really they're running Deboers offense though.

Agree 100% although I’d say Grubb is at a level where it’s more akin to Kirby as DC under Saban than just some guy running someone else’s playbook.

With this first post Saban hire I think you gotta hire an A+ recruiter, cause theyre gonna have to re-recruit a lot of our guys back next season, cause the sharks will be circling with plenty of big NIL deals.

I think Lanning could get 95% of them to return.

Yep that crossed my mind too, thats why I said likely. They might hire him as HC is Deboer leaves.

What I'm trying to say is I'd rather have anyone on the "list" right away, than "the best" next week because of the damage to the roster.

Of the names getting thrown around, Lanning has the best track record as a recruiter, DeBoer has the best track record on the field.

It's an improvement over Jimmy Lake.

They're going after Caleb Downs hard. I also think Lanning would keep most of the guys we really need to keep. Would you rather play for Dan Lanning or Hooker Freeze? No contest.

Idk Dabo's record is good too and he has shown he can be an elite recruiter before, granted that was before NIL, but its a lot easier to recruit to Alabama than Clemson I imagine.

Tony Tsoukalas of Rivals says that Lanning is in Tuscaloosa, per their sources.

I said earlier he was on the way. He is there. It’s a fact.

That's why Lanning would be worth the 20M buyout and then some. The more I think about what we need right now, Lanning's becoming my top choice.

My source has told me CodeName1 will be announced as head coach in the next 72 hours. Bank on it.

Well yeah, Dabo has as good an on-field resume as anyone in college football really. Tied with Smart for the most titles of active coaches once Saban has retired. I just don't really see his name getting thrown around.

Rivals is what I meant. I don’t always type well on my iPad.

If Dabo would work the NIL and portal to his advantage, then yes! No, otherwise!!

Give Lanning a few years to see what he can do, let Dabo get the swing of NIL and the portal a little more, and then maybe in a few years, Dabo will get that call from Mama.
