Side bar…but how come every controversy at Bama has to do with banging? From the proven(Price, Dubose) to random shite like Kiffin and a boosters wife. Kiffin and students as Joey F. Lance Taylor slamming a recruits mom. What in the world?

If you’re going to shill then you need to do a better job…Brian Kelly? Heupel? Napier??? Is that what you want here?

I grew up in that era, but out of state. The amount of shite I heard growing up was insane. I understand what Nebraska fans have been going through. And when we hired Saban, I honestly thought I was gonna have to throw down a couple times, in there middle of a sports bar against an angry, drunk Dolphins fan. One of the times it was a dude older than my dad.

So yeah. This sucks. But goddamn this it every make all the shite I heard worth it.

Y'all really need to stop believing these lists

I would think realistically there are four people that know the list...

Byrne ..obviously
Nick .. why wouldn't you want his thoughts
Stuart Bell ...he's the boss. Doesn't seem micro manager so he may leave it up to Byrne

Jimmy Sexton. " Hey Kaelon ..Sark turned them down.." ..."Hey Mike. Sark and Kaelon turned them down ... They want to offer you.."

I was at UA during those years. Still remember Saban at LSU and I knew that he would be an awesome coach to get it

I'm not endorsing those guys, but they are good recruiters who were at smaller schools and didn't have some wow classes. People knock DeBoer for having eh recruiting classes, but every coach has had eh recruiting classes at Washington. There's no in-state talent.

He has to be really careful with this hire. I almost think it needs to be a big name. Sark, DeBoar. Big names.

Big names gives him more job security and deniability if it goes wrong. But a up and comer or riskier choice guarantees he's gone if it doesn't work out. He's got a shitload of goodwill with hiring Oats. But the one thing an Alabama AD can never get away with is fricking up the football hire. It's not like we're hiring good ol boys club members as ADs anymore.

What I dont understand is why the Team was told at their meeting that we would have a HC in place within 72 hours if they didn't already know who it was going to be ?
considering that info is like the telephone game. They probably said they wanted to.

So is the general assumption Kalen or Sark with the possibility of an outlier that we haven’t heard? Or do you guys think Dabo and others are still in the mix?
