Alabama only got 1 of the top 25 players in the state. Not a good idea to continue that trend long term.

No that was Reuben. Calloway got like....kidnapped by his dad or uncle or something to keep him away from Auburn coaches and make him sign with us. This was back when they were still declaring Chizik > Saban.

Yeah I know she wanted to support her son. Not calling her out per se. That day though, LSU fans really thought that LSU was going to take over the entire college football world. Landon signing with Alabama crushed them almost as bad as 1/9.

Yes, but also not upset about our coach using his existing West coast ties to haul in the #1 overall players from states that aren't Alabama (I believe CA, Texas and Florida.)
Let the man establish his footing, and hopefully a deep playoff run will do wonders showing in-state guys that their best bet is still, and probably always will be, Alabama.
