I really don’t care. It doesn’t have to be any of those guys.
I just want a consistent defense. Everyone has blown assignments. But it keeps happening over and over and over. Talent can overcome a lot - except when you play an equally talented team.

Ironically, Mike Shula was fired and we were able to hire Nick Saban because, given an ultimatum, Mike Shula refused to fire Dave Rader. If he had just fired him and gotten rid of the incompetence, Shula gets another year and we don’t get Saban.

Assuming all are available with no baggage, Pruitt clearly makes the most sense.
1. His dominant defenses have been more recent. Champ and Strong haven't coached championship caliber defense in over ten years.
2. Pruitt never really got all the hype that Strong and Muschamp did when they were climbing the ladder - and also wasn't hired at a school as high profile. Because of that, I think Pruitt is likely to be more satisfied spending the rest of his career as a DC.
3. Pruitt has deep roots in Alabama. It's his home.

Strong and Muschamp are defensive relics that are living off their name and success against a different era of offenses.
It's easily Pruitt off that list.
They wanted Lake and Leonhard in the past, but their schools made power moves to keep them then. I think Leonhard will go down with the ship before he leaves, but Lake is already sunk at UW.
