If the decision was yours to pick our next DC and Golding’s inevitable replacement, who would it be if those guys were your three options?

Pruitt AINEC. REC needs to do some work to pay off the NCAA to clear him ASAP.

Pruitt seems sensible but honestly I'm leaning Muschamp. I'd love to see that energy and anger on our sidelines.

It's an interesting question, and something to consider is how relevant their defensive expertise is in 2021 (it's been a long time since Champ and Strong were coordinating the championship caliber defenses on which they built their reputations) and what kind drive they have at this point in their careers. I doubt any of the three will get a top notch head coaching job ever again. It's a little easier to go that extra mile as a DC when you're full of ambition. Which one is the most likely to be satisfied in a long term role as DC at Alabama?

Yeah, that energy and anger might be great...until he costs you 15 yards in the Iron Bowl.

Like the 2 or 3 15 yard pass interference calls we get per game?

The PI king to me is Jobe. You never hear about him during the game, till he is called for PI. Think he has a PI in every game this year.,

It seems to me Boom is the most viable option of the three listed, but Glenn Shumann might be even better.

Glen Shumann aint coming to Alabama. Every year you mention his name LOL. I'll say this, if Georgia screw up again, I would say he might come back to alabama... better chance to win than Georgia...

Pruitt won't be back with Alabama any time soon.

Why would Glenn leave a young HC to come be part of a HC that is finishing his career?

Glenn knows Saban and his defense very well and is excellent at scheming, teaching and coaching it. Assuming that Glenn has career advancement aspirations, DC/ILB coach at UA would be a nice promotion/raise and a smart career move. Most of Saban's coordinators at UA soon get HC job opportunities. But Golding is an exception.

Pruitt for sure. His 2016 defense was legendary.

Would take any of the three over Golding, though.

I would also take Joe Kines over Pete Golding.
