“It only makes sense for DeBoer to leave here if his family hates it in Tuscaloosa.” I’ve had insider information only one time in my life. And it was the ultimate of insiders and that’s been over 30 years ago. But I did happen upon one piece of information back last summer from a relative of the ultimate insider I once had. Debor‘s family loves Tuscaloosa. Wherever you are hearing that has no idea what they are talking about.
I’m not hearing shite. I’m stating the only two reasons he could leave in my opinion. Nothing to do with whether it is what he really feels or not.
1. His family doesn’t want to be in Tuscaloosa
2. He does not believe he can win a national title at UA
#2 is obviously ridiculous. #1 is unknowable for the general public, so it is what I consider the only real angle for DeBoer leaving.
Again nothing about thinking DeBoer will. Just running through reasons why he would leave and it is the only one I can think of that isn’t obviously ridiculous. He’s not successful enough in college to be an outsider NFL HC candidate yet.

They may have to call Manpower. They pay the insurance which is good.

I understood you, Diego, but this board doesn’t do nuance very well.

I'm not sure some people got that I'm just doing a mental exercise not laying out a road map. Just thinking about what would "DeBoer leaves Alabama for another college job" would look like as a hypothetical.
I think some people are so use to getting trolled on the rant that they're looking for ill intent or hate where there is none.
If you break down the why on the hypothetical you're left with NFL opportunity that is not going to happen in 2026, he doesn't think he can win a national title at a school with 18 of them for some inexplicable reason, or his family doesn't like Tuscaloosa. The first two are just silly. The last one can't be proved or disproved.
So you're left to wonder if a family from South Dakota can tolerate Tuscaloosa. My guess is they probably prefer this place to Seattle.
